His tweet is complete bullshite considering that the resort he's staying at has walls surrounding it and is patrolled and monitored intensely by armed guards and police who are protecting one Haiti's few cash cows.

One of my best friends and coworkers is Haitian. He and his family moved to nyc when he was a young teenager then moved to Miami when he was in high school. He went on to graduate from u of m law school.
I showed him the pic of Conan relaxing in the surf while sipping on a fruity cocktail. Is that what Haiti is like?
He laughed and shrugged, “no bro.”
Then I showed him a pic of Conan’s security team.
He laughed and said, “He better have some protection.”
And he loves Haiti. He has the Haitian flag hanging from his rear view mirror. And I love Conan.
But this is really disingenuous by Conan.

We stopped there on a cruise several years ago. The cruise company owned a tiny peninsula where they had all kinds of amenities for the passengers. The thing about that stop that stood out in my mind was the 12ft razor wire fence that surrounded us and the people digging in the trash on the other side of the fence. It was awful.

Is that the Royal carribean resort? I wasn’t too happy in hearing my cruise had a stop in Haiti, but that specific area is nice. I am not dumb enough to think anywhere else in that nation is nice at all.
