You mean like the head of the DOJ meeting Bill Clinton on a tarmac while the Hillary investigation raged on? Gtfo
It would be like that if you had a written account of Bill Clinton asking Lynch to drop the investigation... only it would be worse for Trump since he has leverage to fire the guy he was talking to.

So it is similar, but with a written account and more inappropriate.

The President has not surrendered any of his civil liberties and can in fact ask if Comey can give Flynn a break.
So if Obama asked Comey to cut Clinton a break, you would be cool with it?

Obama didn't have to. Bill Clinton met with Loretta Lynch on that plane, remember?

Where does Comey suggest obstruction of justice?

Why didn't Comey do anything about said obstruction?

Why did Comey think it was appropriate to speak so openly about the HRC email investigation, but informing the US that their president wasn't being investigated for being a traitor would create a "duty to correct" (whateverthefrickthatis)?

Maybe Obama wasn't the huge corrupt guy you make him out to be.
Considering the lack of interest the MSM had in his activities, we would never know.

All great questions, looking forward to his response on the last two tomorrow. Though Trump handled this whole ordeal poorly in my opinion, it isn't as if Comey made particularly good decisions either.

Sure, it was talked about nonstop on this board. Weird, since it was no big deal according to the sheeople who started all those threads.

Going to be a rough day for you tomorrow. Pubs will be coming at Comey with both barrels loaded over this non-story about Russians and made up obstructon. I hope they ask Comey why an investigation wasn't initiated on so many Democrat Party associates ending up with multiple bullet holes recently.

After the Oval Office meeting where Trump asked him to drop the Flynn investigation.

Because the AG was likely to need to recuse himself because he lied about his Russian contacts.

It is actually the same thing. By announcing that the investigation into HRC was closed, he felt the obligation to notify the Gang of 8 when it was reopened.

I don't think it's necessary to rehash all that in this thread. That meeting was indefensible, the argument though is that if these same set of facts that occurred with Trump took place with a Democratic President, nearly all of the responses would be different. That is pretty clear. This board is fanatically hypocritical, as are many of the liberal forums. Hyperpartisanship is on full display.

It'll be political theater at its worst I'm sure. Maybe a complete farce not that far from a Soviet show-trial.

The questions and focus of Dems and GOP members will be completely different. Like when IC testified earlier and all the GOP cared about was leaks and hardly even brought up Russian meddling (which ostensibly was what the hearing was about) and the Dems line of questioning was the opposite.

Absent any evidence, there was nothing that could be done aside from having Lynch recuse herself to avoid the appearance of any misdeeds.

Sessions allowed Comey to gave a private meeting with Trump. At least to his credit it appears he wasn't entirely on board with it.

I'll be waiting for one of the Dems to ask Comey what he thinks about Trump getting 2 scoops of ice cream when everyone else got one!

There us a greater chance that King does that than any of the Pubs. McCain and Rubio seemed very interested in hearing about Trump.

Why not? I'm frankly bothered by the fact he only met with Obama twice. That seems absurdly low for such an important arm of the country.
