Who the frick doesn't know konnichiwa?

And with the massive rise of Asian-born students studying abroad in the US; it's not a fricking stretch to think a ton of Asian students are not "from Wisconsin."

Yeah. That's a good point. Whites don't get that it is offensive to assume all Asians are the same.

That is a you problem. Offense is a choice.

Choosing to be deeply offended over anything that isn't willfully intended to piss you off is idiotic

You have to ask yourself if a white dude started speaking Somali or Zulu to a black guy who happened to be from Wisconsin the black dude could be pretty pissed.

No you racist twit.
It no more has to do with ""whites"" than it does a Nigerian asking a Kiwi how he likes living in Australia.

Ignorance is not necessarily racism.
Racism is necessarily ignorance.

The article never states that the student WASN'T Japanese...just that he wasn't from Japan...he was from Wisconsin.

So I guess it's a micro-aggression to ask a Japanese-American if they were from Japan.

If some Chinese guy assumed I was of French decent instead of the superior German blood I have coursing through my veins, I'd beat that arse.

That's about like assuming all whites are the same.

The flat butthurt is strong in that student from Wisconsin. I actually had something similar happen.

We had a client in from out of town. She was a pretty nice girl of Asian descent. Things were going pretty good and we were just chatting. I asked where she is from.

She bowed up and asked if I meant her heritage. I said, "No. When you go back home and park your car in your driveway, what city would that driveway be in?"

She glared at me like I was the devil for the duration.

I appreciate the boldness of the smartass explanation you gave to a client.

How much money is wasted on funding the Bias Team and those 51 reports?

Good God.

I never knew orientals were so easily offended. I assumed that with their math/computer skills and martial arts they’d have more self confidence.

The math and martial arts are compensation for other, um, shortcomings.
