US is currently taking out the small boat which were estimated to be 80-90% functional until we started taking them out a few minutes ago.

High tech mines have been around for at least 25 years. They lie "dormant " on the sea bed. They can either be activated remotely, floating to shallow depth or they can use sensors to detect magnetic anomalies, automatically releasing them to shallow depth. They could have been placed on the sea bed years ago.

The Iranian Navy that Trump claimed was destroyed is actively mining the Straits of Hormuz right now and we can't stop it.
