Clay Travis is not a soft conservative. If anything he's a hard core libertarian in the same mold as Neal Boortz. He also has a passionate hatred for woke culture and the mainstream media. He went on CNN a few years back and was famously banned from their network after he said, and I quote, "I believe in two things: the First Amendment and boobs."

Read his book "Republicans Buy Sneakers Too". He says ESPN firing Rush Limbaugh over a Donovan McNabb discussion was his major red pill turning point in realizing how fricked up the left is

My objective evaluation. I've heard them. They suck.
But if you find them informative then you should listen.

I posted this in the other thread on this:

Rush's show was distributed by Premier (iHeart) and syndicated on over 600 stations, all owned mostly by 3 different big radio media companies: iHeart, Audacy (Entercom), and Westwood One.

In post Rush era, each has decided to have their own person fill the void:

iHeart (Premier): Clay/Buck

Audacy (Entercom): Dana Loesch

Westwood One: Bongino

Likely, long term, if any is more successful than the others, they will begin gathering more stations.

FYI, in NOLA, 99.5 is owned by iHeart so they will be getting Clay/Buck

Markley, Van Camp, and Robbins comes on in my town. I like them because they are very funny. If you get the chance, give them a try. Plus, if one is off, you still get the other two.

Too bad Boortz retired, the Talkmaster was awesome. Ingraham was good on radio as well as Tammy Bruce.

Agreed. Herman Cain (RIP) was a well-meaning successor but he just didn't have the same charisma and panache that Boortz had. I loved Boortz's schtick. He was this sarcastic, angry uncle/grandpa whose takes were very self-evident to everyone with a brain.

What happened to Bongino? I thought he was named a couple of months ago.

The owner of the Rush show didn't hire him. He's hired by some other group and he's not on every station that carried Rush. Yet.

Disappointed that Steyn didn't get the nod. Maybe he wasn't interested. Think he'd be a better fit, but will give these guys a listen before making a judgement.

I was thinking Steyn and Snerdley as a duo.

Member when some savant on this site called him a David Portnoy wannabe. Cause I member. That guy is stupid.

Just think about how many more "baws" will be added to the on line sports books and drinking Dixie Vodka.

Somewhere these two are deeply engaged in a rant about white males and privilege.

From Clay's announcement this morning:

quote:

As I looked at the data during 2020, the story it told me was clear. As much as people might enjoy my sports opinions, they loved even more when I talked about issues that were, frankly, far more important than sports: my belief in American exceptionalism and the meritocracy, my rejection of cancel culture and identity politics, my repudiation of everything woke in our culture. I’ve always said that sports should be an escape from politics, but increasingly, sports became politics.

Rush was one of the few who still stands behind 'American exceptionalism' and I'm glad Travis will pick up the torch. I've listened to and enjoyed Sexton's podcast too, should be a good show with such divergent personalities. The Silent Majority will have 2 new voices now!

Hopefully we'll get some real coverage of the election fraud being uncovered every day in time for 2022.
