No, he didn't say that. At all.
He said he was going to try to use his position and authority to mandate it.
Newsflash: he has zero authority to mandate shite. He is one congressman out of 435.
It won't bother me a bit if they get banned for life. Personally, I hope they do. What I have a problem with is (a) thread titles that aren't accurate, and (b) one Congressman claiming he can mandate anything.

You have freedom of speech.
You don't always have freedom from consequences.

Trying to regulate freedom of speech and social media is straight out of a leftist playbook.
The mistake y’all are making is think these are “Americans” in some traditional sense. They aren’t. We’re infested with communists in this country at all levels of society. It’s long past time to start weeding them out.

I remember they also said "silence is violence", so I guess everything is violence.

That really stings. :eyeroll:
Yesterday was a watershed. Everyone should be changing their minds, one way or another.

If they don't like it, they can buy Twitter.

Oh ok, you're just dramatic then. Called it.

On the plus side....a lifetime social media site ban will hit these people hard.
They live for trying to one-up and shite talk people on these sites.

Private company can do what it wants right?
Of course it can. But did we like it when the right was silenced on Twitter? I didnt
Did we not applaud Musk’s free speech absolutism? I did

They are free to say what they want not free from consequences and if they don’t like X rules I’d suggest they start their own platform

Does that go for this website also?
Posted on 9/11/25 at 12:45 pm to Radio One
Whether it stings or not makes no difference. It is an accurate assessment of the situation

Guess it matters if you get to define American values or not.

I tell yah what bub. Go ahead and post online about how you want to off prominent political figures. See how well it goes for you
But I have zero desire to off any political figures
but post it just for fun, or better yet, your free speech.

I want their insanity to be on full display for the entire world to see. Lose their jobs and everything they own? Sure, of course I want that. But their words I want to live forever so others can see what they really are.

Just because I support others’ rights to be vile and cruel on the internet out of some estrogen fueled hatred does not mean I want to partake in the madness.

I'd like to think I would handle it different but ultimately, it's Elon's Twitter. He can do what he wants.

Free speech does not include violence!

They set the rules. We will now all play by them!
