I’m not
Going to click on the link but I strongly suspect that reducing the minimum is meant to make it possible to differentiate between pedo shite and close-in-age relationship type shite or other less heinous situations.

From Brave Answer Bot.....

quote:

German lawmakers have not decriminalized the possession of child pornography.
Instead, they have reduced the minimum prison sentences for possessing, distributing, or acquiring such material.
According to the current draft of the bill, possession and acquisition should in the future be punishable with a minimum penalty of three months' imprisonment, and distribution with a minimum penalty of six months' imprisonment.
These offenses are now classified as misdemeanors and not as crimes.

It's not decriminalized but it's no longer a crime.

You’re wrong on everything. Neither war was started by Germany. Germany today, like all of the west, is under the influence of globalist satanists that want a one world order under the Antichrist.

I don't know where you live but in Louisiana a misdemeanor is definitely a crime.

The “values” of these Western Liberal World Order types are not values I’m interested in America defending (as an American citizen and taxpayer).

This should be met with heavy sanctions by the US.

Liberals will however be applauding this. Another Civil Liberty added to the Alphabet crowd.

That country started two massive world wars and killed millions upon millions of people.

They didn't start the first one. They just got blamed and punished for it. It started in the Balkans which were a part of Austria-Hungary. Germany was drawn into it because they were part of an alliance, just like we are a part of NATO and Europe wants us to fight Russia in Ukraine.

They've got to clear prison space for the true criminals who mock feminism.

Germany started the war when they invaded Poland. Don't cozy up to Nazi propaganda just because the left is becoming authoritarian.

The LGBT movement was always leading to this. First it was just gay people want to get married and left alone. Then it was normalize trannies. Now it's normalize pedos, they even did their favorite thing and give them an acronym label (MAP) to move away from calling them pedos and make them not seem as bad as they are. Now here we are.

That can’t be true. Tell me that can’t be true.

It's primarily for yutes and people unintentionally spreading images.

Actual news article on it

quote:

German law currently stipulates that a person who “disseminates child pornographic content or makes it available to the general public” is punished with a prison sentence of between one and 10 years. Before the reform by Germany’s previous government that took effect in July 2021, it provided for sentences ranging from three months to five years.

Justice Minister Marco Buschmann said the upper limit will stay in place, but the new minimum sentence has resulted in “numerous problems in practice.”

“In particular, people who receive such material involuntarily — for example in the context of a WhatsApp parents’ group — risk a minimum sentence of one year,” Buschmann said in a statement. The same, he added, also applies “in the case of teachers who have discovered child pornographic material on students’ cellphones and have forwarded it to alert the affected parents.”

quote:

The new legislation will restore authorities’ ability to close cases at the lower end of punishability. It states that the possibility to class offenses as misdemeanors also is necessary to deal with “the large proportion of young offenders with the necessary flexibility,” given that those culprits tend to act out of “inexperience, curiosity, thirst for adventure or striving to impress” rather than out of sexual motives.

This story is old.

Fact Check: German lawmakers have not voted to decriminalise possessing child pornography

quote:

With a minimum jail term under one year, the offences are now considered misdemeanours rather than felonies, added the spokesperson. This is confirmed, opens new tab by section 12 of the German Criminal Code.
In June 2021, Germany tightened, opens new tab laws around child pornography, raising the minimum sentence for distribution, acquisition and possession to one year.

But feedback from the courts and public prosecutor’s office highlighted problems with the law change. With a one-year minimum sentence there was no way someone “who had not acted out of paedo-criminal energy” could avoid jail, said the justice ministry spokesperson, for example when a mother finds child pornography on her offspring’s phone and forwards it to other parents or teachers to alert them.

Lol
Not really a deterrent.
Especially against f@cking children.
That's what you need to stop heinous crimes but if that's not your interest then definitely go with misdemeanors.

If it was available in the 1 to 10 range why was that not good in having such case by case leeway.

The Soviets invaded Poland two weeks later, after invading countries in Eastern Europe.

Germany’s invasion of Poland was due to constant Polish incursions across the German border, the mistreatment of ethnic Germans in Poland, and the West encouraging Poland to not make any deals with Germany over Danzig, and to go to war.

It helps when you learn real history instead of labeling it as “Nazi propaganda.”
