The defense is so confident in a re trial that they’re going into the mistrial verdict kicking and screaming.
I bet the retrial goes differently, if the state chooses to pursue.

Has she even shown any remorse?

How do you know that? They did not poll the jury because there is no verdict. At least that is normally the case.
It was all but stated in open court. The hold out was a male and refused to apply reasonable doubt according to the defense attorney and jury foreperson. It was Reddington that outed it was a dude though.

It's obvious due to the fact that the defense tried to have the one holdout removed. If the vote were going the other way there is no chance the defense would try to remove the one juror saying she was innocent.
Unless something illegal is going on - jury tampering - there should be no way for the defense to know.
It seems to me the defense has nothing to lose. if defense tries to remove this juror and suceeds then: A. defense was right and clancy gets off; or B. defense is wrong, which would arguably give Clancy a decent appeal. But more than that, she will most likely stay in a psych ward even with a guilty verdict - at least for the long-term foreseeable future.
I think it is more of a gamble by defense when the loss does not mean much of a loss.
But I assume we will know the real story soon enough.

It is Massachusetts.

Not that I have seen. She stared down the jury like a frickin sociopath at one point.
Which reminds me, part of her search history in the lead up to the event was a query online about, "can sociopaths be treated?" So it sounds like she wasn't temporarily crazy, but is crazy full-time. She clearly has no business being let free back into society.

That’s all I have seen her do as well. She is clearly not fit for society.

That happened too.

I’d be ok with this tbh. She may be crazy-crazy, and if that’s the path we’re taking then she should never see outside of an asylum ever again.

I don’t think so.

this is 100% the judge's fault because his instructions to the jury provided way too many options:
The jury is considering five verdicts:
– Guilty of First-Degree Murder
– Guilty of Second-Degree Murder
– Guilty of Manslaughter
– Not Guilty
– Not Guilty due to Lack of Criminal Responsibility
When you have too many options from which to choose, there's no way you're going to arrive at a unanimous decision.

Insanity.
Imagine admitting to killing your own kids and there is an option for you to walk out of the courthouse a free woman.
Thankfully this won’t happen today. Would not be sad if the husband took her out.

Someone got bought off.

I just heard it's not officially a "mistrial" yet. The judge is giving the jury "another hour" for some reason.

Apparently the Judge is giving the defense time to file some sort of appeal or motion

Hopefully she just commits suicide before the next trial begins.
Don’t count on it, Andrea Yates killed her five children 25 years ago and she’s still kicking.

Turley just called for sequestering a future jury.

So my question is posed again:
If she gets away with this, and the ex decides to end her for killing his children's, can he also claim insanity and get away with it?
..and will those same women championing for Lindsay be ok with that or call him a murderer?

Well if she truly heard voices that told her she has to kill her children, hopefully it comes back and tells her to kill herself
