Yeah, you'd think he'd have a better understanding of the dangers of hubris.

Trump is not the boorish idiot we want, he's the boorish idiot we need.

All we need to know about Obama's CIA is that their Top Man for a long time -- John Brennan -- actually voted for the Communist Party of the USA in a POTUS election. That's ALL we need to know.

I wouldn't trust a flake like that to wash my car, MUCH LESS run my CIA.

This is yet another gross misconception that undermined Conservatives and cost Democrats not only the election, but the disintegration of the Democratic Party. The hubris of the urban Liberal is overwhelming and is reflected in their subsequent meltdown of epic and biblical proportion.

Do you concur with this generalization? Or are you just reporting what 'urban liberals believe'?

Just curious.

Uh yes and no. At this point I think we're all kind of locked into our "team's" narrative that's pushed out there by the various media outlets. I think this is bad for America on all sides.

I do think many conservatives out there are voting against their interests yes, but I also think democrats have done a piss poor job reaching out to and appealing to those people and I blame them more than I blame Rush or Brietbart.

I think many Democrats are voting against their own interests, especially blacks.

"Intellectuals" in this country believe in 40 different genders, and that all that is preventing Nigeria from putting a man on the moon is white oppression.

They've been reduced to a bunch of bitch fit throwers intent on putting the safety of our nation at risk for the sake of political points.

Yeah, maybe 30 yrs ago before the Prog/Dims and Neocons infiltrated the intelligence agencies of the US they actually had integrity and merit. Trump needs to surgically eviscerate all the intelligence agencies and get the bad hombres out and try to re-establish honor and pride back into the US intelligence apparatus.

Probably true, I can assure you as usual the Prog/Dims are wrong again!

I guess it was the 'crony capitalist right-wing media' comment that surprised me.

For example, the two sources you mentioned, Rush and Brietbart, are not corporate owned, nor terribly influential beyond their limited audiences. Limbaugh draws roughly the same weekly radio audience as NPR, while Brietbart.com is currently ranked the 45th most popular website in the US (for comparison, CNN.com is #20, nytimes.com is #30, and MSN.com is #36; foxnews.com is right behind Brietbart at #46).

No doubt you've seen this:

Outside of NewsCorp, I think you would find it very difficult to characterize any of those corporations as right-of-center.

As long as we're generalizing, it's probably more accurate to say that urban liberals believe that they would never be influenced by those corporate giants into supporting policies against their own interests, because they're all far too clever.

He regularly talked about books he had read, authors he admired.

Trump is not those things. Actively and purposely so.
Translation: Obama is a thinker. Trump is a doer. Trump does things that Obama thinks about. Trump does the things Obama reads about, studies, and in some cases attempts to emulate.

Amongst advisors, Obama envisions himself as the smartest guy in the room. If Trump found himself in a situation where he felt he knew more than his advisors, he'd kick himself for choosing his advisors poorly.

Obama and Trump are indeed very different people.

I hardly think that the head of the local softball association or the plumber that unstopped the drain in your mom's basement could be considered CEO's.
