That would just be dumb.

Even the hardest core lefties I know don't support that.

I honestly don't know anyone who supports late term abortion.

I don't support abortion but I don't think it is the political hill to die on to completely outlaw it, but this, this should be stopped 100%.

Does Shumer know that when Republicans take power they could easily overturn this and pass a federal law outlawing abortion nationwide?

The Democrats are really in a checkmate situation and they should just take the L and be happy they can still kill babys in blue state land

What a sick evil idiot. The people supporting this are already fringe rabid left. That wins them zero votes. What it does is absolutely frick the middle left/moderates.

So that’s awesome. Thanks Schumer, you scum human.

which is why every Republican should not even show up to the vote. It would force every Democrat to admit this was a sham and vote against it, admit it was a sham and withdraw the legislation, or show how extreme they are with passing it.

From a purely political standpoint, this is insanely stupid.

1. It has no hope of passing.
2. It calls for absolutely zero restrictions on abortion up to the moment of birth.

The first reason is reason enough for this to be stupid. But reason 2 is what takes the cake. This idiot thinks he’s making Republicans go on record as being “anti-choice”. But what he’s really doing is forcing Democrats to either go on record as “anti-choice” or go on record for being in favor of abortion on demand with zero restrictions up to 9 months. And polls show that while most Americans support some choice, the number of Americans who support zero abortion restrictions is close to zero. So either these Democrat senators face alienating their Democratic base, or face losing all but the hard-left of their base, not to mention independents.

So go ahead Shumer, paint you and your party into that corner. Die on that hill you idiot.

The only way it passes is to kill the filibuster.

IIRC that was Senator Obama's favorite vote of choice.

How does the vote go? I want to see Senators that are proud "NOs". Like John Hancock signing the Declaration of Independence.

What am I missing? Schumer actually thinks telling America he is in favor of killing a baby 3 seconds before it's screaming in the room is good for the Dems? I know the man is a piece of shite but what the frick is this?

And it gets the Dems on record as well that they support killing 9months incubated babies. I’ll take those records every single time.
