Yet SOB Joe Biden has no problems with a chemical train crash in Ohio.

I wonder how much natural gas is currently moved by rail

They have stated LNG is highly flammable and vulnerable to devastating explosions which could destroy communities

The BLM mobs destroyed entire communities and yet these organizations supported them. It's not about what LNG could maybe possibly do in a "worst case disastrous scenario" type of situation, but it is about the reckless wanton destruction that has already been done dozens and dozens of times over by violent leftist cult gatherings.

I'd rather see a few LNG cars rolling towards me by rail, than see a BLM riot mob coming towards my house.

The Biden Administration uses environmental groups to write legislation.

You know those "lobbyists" the left pretends to hate.

PHMSA allows a lot more dangerous materials to be transported by rail than LNG. Think polyvinyl chloride, chlorine, diethyl chlorine, etc. for example.

I don't believe the rail industry is clamoring to transport LNG by rail. Seems like a really inefficient way to transport natural gas especially in the United States when there is already so much natural gas pipeline transportation competition.

Joe says hold that thought you dog faced pony soldier:

Gas industry, Biden square off over pipeline leaks

quote:

After decades of writing off those leaks as the cost of doing business, the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, under President Joe Biden, is now moving to rein in those fugitive molecules of methane, the primary component of natural gas, setting up another fight with the oil and gas industry centered in Houston. Under a proposed rule expected to be put into place next year, oil and gas companies would have to conduct monthly surveys of their systems with advanced leak detection equipment and quickly repair any problems they find, with the target of reducing pipeline emissions by more than 50%.

quote:

The Biden administration has been seeking to rein in methane leaks across the board, with plans to put a fee on methane emissions from oil and gas drilling next year and offering incentives to homeowners who switch their home heating and cooking systems to electricity.

quote:

For natural gas and pipeline companies, the new rules could prove costly, requiring monthly surveys by airplane or helicopter, infrared equipment capable of detecting otherwise invisible methane leaks and sharp control on how pipeline companies operate their systems. The Interstate Natural Gas Association of America, which represents large pipeline companies such as Kinder Morgan and Enbridge, estimates the new rule could cost their industry more than $500 million per year.

What percent is transported by rail?

I've always assumed that the vast, vast majority is moved by pipeline.

As you can see from my second post, looks like they went ahead and closed the railroad loophole before going for the all out attack on the pipelines.

All part of the Democrats’ war on gas.

They WILL take your gas stove, one way or another.

I’ve often thought of how we could bring the govt and oligarchs to their knees without firing a shot. The best answer I’ve been able to come up with is to give them what they want. If everyone in oil and gas just decided to stay home for one month this whole thing would crumble. Within about three days there’d be no fuel anywhere. With no fuel shipping would come to a screeching halt and store shelves would be empty within another few days and this is just week one. Then the power grid would go down which would also knock out communications, water, sewer, etc. The country would be absolute pandemonium and I think the powers that be would agree to anything just to stop the bleeding. I’m not saying this should happen because it’d almost definitely end this country but it’d be interesting to watch those in power panic when they realize how little power they actually have. From Elon, Bezos, and Zuck to black rock, Biden, McConnell, or any of the rest nothing they produce nor the wealth they’ve accumulated is possible without fuel. So once again o&g folks please don’t do this but if you do please remember to give us folks that appreciate what you do a little heads up.

So you can transport propane but not natural gas? Wish I knew enough about this industry to know which companies will benefit the most because they have pipelines. I bet there was some insider training in congress with this decision for sure.

A man is now a woman, and a woman is a man, so if she becomes pregnant, a man is pregnant. The proof is that if you say otherwise, you shall be punished.  Problem solved! Alcohol was prohibited in the United States, and everyone stopped drinking it forever. The new lightbulbs are toxic, so everyone will carefully dispose of them.  Comrade Stalin seized all farms, and then everyone then had enough to eat. And media won't mention any downsides, so there aren't any downsides. Miranda was right...Oh brave new world that has such people in it!

Progressives will have no happiness or sense of accomplishment until 1,000s freeze to death without access to natural gas
