Look, I’m not blind to the issues in China. I’ve probably spent more time there than 99.9% of the posters here, and I’m well familiar with things like the Great Firewall and the pile of cameras all over the place.

I’m just realistic when it comes to comparing it to the rest of the world. We may have more due process and codified freedoms, but events like the Twitter dump today should paint the picture well enough that our elected leaders and their party industries are far from being what our Founders intended.
