not really. I would have done just that, as opposed to setting myself up for a murder charge. What Chauvin did was naive.

So a reasonable person would think that he should NOT keep the suspect safe, let him hurt himself by deviating from policy all because he probably just ingested a deadly drug.

eans that if it is REMOTELY POSSIBLE that George Floyd would have died even if Derek Chauvin had stayed 6 feet away from George Floyd, you have to acquit.

And, ladies and gentlemen, it is more than remotely possible that George Floyd would have died anyway.

I don’t think the cop killed GF but what you said doest exonerate Chauvin of murder at all. Killing someone who possibly would have later died is still killing them.

What will blow my mind is if they convict on any murder charge without a direct cause of death besides “asphyxiation”.

If he would have got up and ran head first into the cruiser you would still be screaming negligence.

you're making my point. people, regardless their profession, are expected to use common sense. using common sense here it would let anyone know an out of breath fat man on his gut, handcuffed behind his back, can't get up.

so, i'd never have the chance to scream negligence.

IMO all you can do is trust the judicial system. If there is something better let's use it but currently a trial by jury system is the best system. The problem with this case is there is only one side that will riot regardless of outcome.

To be fair, everyone in the history of the world who has been killed would have later died. So this isn’t really a great standard to apply.

Common Sense would be STFU and get in the car.

Then you never end up on the ground in handcuffs.

This doesn’t prove Chauvin didn’t kill him though.

This is actually false. “Reasonable doubt” doesn’t mean “beyond all doubt”.

Watching Fox News, they sure seem to be hinting that he’s guilty on all charges.

Yes- GF only took all of his pills because he was being arrested and didn't want an extra charge of possession. Who knows how he would have digested his drugs.

This is still not Chauvin's fault. He took everything he had because he was going to be arrested.

He probably is guilty on all 3 but no way the media knows right now. Just speculation.
