What I feel like is most likely to happen is that the people and the regular army turn on the IRGC and they quickly lay down their arms.
Why would the IRGC lay down their arms? That's certain death for those guys in that scenario

Yup, should have stayed the frick out of it. Let Israel and Europe worry about them. They are the countries within firing range of their balistic missles, not us.
Not one other country could do what we just did to Iran.

Trump is going to China in a month. There's your answer as to why the Ceasefire was extended.
Oh, I recognize it's all a good bit more complicated than some simpletons want to try and make it.

Are we trying to help the poor helpless Iranians getting executed in the street by their oppressive govt or starve them all to death? Is this a Team America reboot?

90 % of that country are Muslim. There aren’t enough Persians to overthrow the government . Are there reasonable people there , who will negotiate a no nuclear deal? I don’t know
But they can’t be allowed to have one or they will hold the world hostage. Better to end this now.

this whole affair shows why he shouldn't conduct foreign policy on social media.
I love that he does this. It's hilarious how after decades of secrecy we have a POTUS who declassified UFO documents on Truth Social.

People saying "taco" are ridiculous. Iran's military capability has been obliterated and the actions of the Iranian regime has set the country back decades
Are they still capable of doing catastrophic damage to energy production and desalination plants in the region? I havent heard to much analysis of that from anyone as of late but that would be the number one reason I could think of for Trump to be hesitating on further strikes.

It won't be long now and the people of that country, and their regular Army forces, are going to kick the crazy bastards out.
[/img] Seriously that could take a long time...years of civil war and instability in the region.

The Never Trumpers will pivot so hard at this news.
The "Trump is going to get us all into WWIII" folks are going to be especially disappointed.
What the folks who know all the words to 'Rocky Top" don't understand is that the combination of a cease fire extension and continuing blockade action could be more detrimental to Iran than military strikes. They're running out of storage capacity for all of this oil that has no where to go.
If they're forced to cap some of these higher-producing wells, water backfills into the surrounding subterranean layers and the oil can't make it through in the same volume - permanently decreasing production on their most prolific wells.
Best estimates were that they can store nearly full production for 13-15 days. That was back at the original deadline when the ceasefire was declared. We're 10 days later. They'll have to make some kind of major concession before EOW... unless they want to get out of the oil business.

This conflict is ostensibly over, unless the Iranians do something amazingly stupid.

We have already seen it happening in small numbers. Saw one video of an IRGC commander standing outside a military barracks and telling the camera that everyone inside the barracks has already fled and that he is going to too and his only hope is that the people don't seek retribution against him.

The dumbest thing emerging from this war is the "Iranians are Persian and not Muslim" silliness.

The Panicans can't see the blockade is more devastating to Iran than bombs
