Will landlords be able to sue the CDC for lost rent and court costs related to the illegal moratorium?
I know a bunch of landlords refused to invest in improvements for their properties or to rent them specifically because the CDC rules institutionalized nonpayment by renters.

Fauci made it worse with every word he spoke. Fauci is not part of the CDC. He is part of the NIH. He is not a scientist. He hasn't practiced epidemiology in decades. His policies were leftist, devoid of science, devoid of logic, and contributed to the spread of contagion and the breakdown of immune systems. Thanks to Fauci, we have an economic and humanitarian crisis on our hands. If you equate this with keeping us safe, then maybe you need to stay home locked in a closet and leave the rest of us alone.

Creating deadly viruses to be transmissible to humans, which were not transmissible before is not only irresponsible, it is also criminally unethical and dangerous.

Yes. And it's one way to breach a lease. [lol I screwed up this part badly--fixed]: Payment is a necessary but insufficient condition of compliance with lease. E.g., you could have a dog when dogs are prohibited, more people living in the house than lease allows, illegal activity, unauthorized alterations, etc.

UPDATE: So, and I did not know this, the "all powerful" cdc has prohibited any cruise lines from operating in the US.
