I think based on the unpopularity of this administration a different republican would have been a much more appealing alternative than Trump. …and their debate performance would have been much better.

The only thing people remember about the debate is Haitians eating cats. The only result of the debate was shedding light on the immigration issue caused by Biden and kamala.

I think most MAGA/America First types have accepted the distinct possibility the Kackler will be installed as POTUS and the accelerated decline of the US will quickly follow.
I also believe the vast majority of MAGA/America First types have washed their hands of any responsibility of what becomes of the nation after the Kackler is installed and the Fundamental Transformation of America is complete, most believe they fought the good fight and gave other Americans who will vote for the Kackler ample warning.
