James White and Jimmy Akin
I’m posting this here, because (a) we don’t have a religion board, and (b) I think most of the people who would be interested in this event are frequenters of PT.
It’s not often (if ever) that we will get to see two of the best in the RC/Pro debate arena- in Livingston parish. James White and Jimmy Akin are certainly that. The event will be held 4/24-25 at First Baptist Church in Livingston. I have no doubt that this debate will settle, once and for all, the debate between Catholics and Protestants.

Triggernometry is a good youtube show. But even they made the same mistake I often hear when the British host said "And it doesn't matter if you a Christian or a Catholic."

They are probably both wrong. Both divergents have seemed and manipulated the biblical story from its inception.

For some unknown reason, this old Rule is never enforced. Catholic-bashing is always allowed here on Political Talk. These threads are never even Anchored, much less Deleted.

I know some church of Christ types that would legitimately shoot a catholic if they could get away with it. They absolutely loathe Catholicism and view them in the same category as Muslims

You'd like to think so, but, there are still some Protestant sects whose "Confessions" or statement of beliefs say that the Roman Catholic Pope is the Anti-Christ, so, I guess if your Pope is the Anti-Christ, it's tough to be one of God's Children, much less even a Christian.

It's not "Catholic Bashing".
It's: Protestants pointing out in a gentle, loving and quite non-judgemental manner how we think y'all are incorrect; Catholics telling protestants that they are flat out wrong and going to hell because Peter was the first Pope and Squirrelmeister telling us we are all stupid for believing any of it because the bible was quite clearly written by the great flying spaghetti monster and that David didn't kill goliath and Jesus wasn't even a real person.
OK... the Catholic/Protestant thing was tongue in cheek.
That's generally how it ends up.
