It makes no sense that he would choose this hill to kill his career on. He could have walked to re election for the rest of his life probably

I’ll let JBE appoint a D. Recall him.

He’s 63 years old. He may not want to run again in 6 years.

There is no provision for a public recall of a US Senator or US Representative. Only way to remove them is by standard election or the body can remove them via expulsion with a 2/3 vote of the body.

Dude.

If it were Cassidy vs Edwards, today,Edwards wins by 65+

Cassidy won’t run so we will never know but if he did, Edwards 55% or more. I bet way more. I know I would not vote

Recall of a Senator is not allowed in the Constitution. They can be expelled, but it requires a 2 /3 vote of the Senate.

They no longer represent their state. They represent their party and big doners

He will have a much higher paying job as a lobbyist in 6 years. That is what he wants. If he supported Trump his Swamp Job in waiting would be gone.

He was a Democrat before switching to the GOP in 2001. He is already eligible for a full pension as a senator.

A full pension is available to members 62 years of age with 5 years of service; 50 years or older with 20 years of service; or 25 years of service at any age.

Pensacola has it right.! Cassidy is selling out on his constituents in order to get a very lucrative lobbyist job when his Senate term expires. No way he runs again.
