Any foreign military ships would be identified and warned off way, way before they would get close to San Diego. They would be destroyed by missile salvos before they could even see the beach.

You aren't wrong. Reddit is full of beta liberals. They have no clue what our military is capable of. Then we could also utilize police forces, etc.

As stated previously in this thread, our citizens are armed and ready for any attack on our soil. Many of them probably look forward to such a scenario, lol.

Just reading through Reddit and seeing how they are suggesting a pincer-like invasion of the United States. Just curious if those of you who are familiar with the respective militaries of these countries could shed some light on how it would go.
The basic scenario being outlined is that the Mexican army would invade Texas and take oil fields. The Mexican navy would occupy asan Diego by overwhelming the US navy stationed there.
Canada would invade through Detroit and through the Pacific Northwest. Detroit would disrupt the Great Lakes supply lines and our Air Force and Boeing would take major losses in the Seattle area. Not to mention a major tech hub.

Let's play

Canadian Army
quote:

There are approximately 5,400 to 6,500 full-time combat infantry soldiers in the Regular Force.
There are approximately 8,000 to 10,000 part-time combat infantry soldiers.

If we assume that the reserve force is left to defend Canada, and the full time force strikes into Buffalo, Detroit, and Seattle (Assume, 2,000 infantry per attack)

vs
2000 Canadians vs
quote:

The Detroit Police Department (DPD) currently employs over 2,500 sworn, armed officers
quote:

The Michigan State Police (MSP) employs 1,875 sworn troopers and motor carrier officers
quote:

The Michigan National Guard includes approximately 1,200 combat infantry with its combat infantry forces primarily organized into two battalions:
1st Battalion, 125th Infantry Regiment:
3rd Battalion, 126th Infantry Regiment:

quote:

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) is actively rebuilding its force, with about 1,123 sworn, armed officers
quote:

The Washington State Patrol (WSP) has approximately 967 commissioned, armed officers
quote:

The Washington Army National Guard includes approximately 2,900 citizen-soldiers in the 81st Stryker Brigade Combat Team (SBCT), which serves as the primary combat unit, supported by the 161st Infantry Regiment

quote:

The Buffalo Police Department (BPD) consisted of approximately 729 sworn, armed police officers
quote:

The New York State Police (NYSP) has approximately 4,977 sworn, armed state troopers and officers.
quote:

The New York Army National Guard's (NYARNG) primary infantry component, the 42nd Infantry Division (headquartered in Troy), consists of approximately 5,500 soldiers

In short, they couldn't even invade 3 border states against local and state police before those state guard units showed up to murder them.

Could do Mexico as well, but this shows how those people live in fantasy land.

If a person not been perma-banned from reddit by now for saying men can not be women, I have to question your grasp on reality and assume that you an average reddit moron.

Speaking truth will get you banned quickly on that site.

It is too bad too, there are some interesting non political topics on there.

But its all been ruined by the insanity.

Isn’t that a toll bridge? Would cost a fortune to invade across that bridge.

Thosr two would be lucky to pull off a successful joint invasion of a small deserted island somewhere in the Pacific.

Redditt is idiots. If both Canada and Mexico invade, at the same time, say around 0600...both would be begging for piece before lunch.

Both countries military might, added together is about 1/4 of ours. They stand less than a 0.001% chamce of winning.

Our military would intervene.... OBVIOUSLY. I say that just to say this... if that happened AND our military did not intervene, they would still be ultimately repelled. Two many 30-06's picking their asses off from a 1/4 of a mile away.

The basic scenario being outlined is that the Mexican army would invade Texas and take oil fields.

The Mexicans would quickly find out what apparently the brilliant minds on Reddit don’t know: Fort Hood in Texas contains the III armored corp and Fort Bliss has the 1st armored division.

The USAF has multiple squadrons located in the FL panhandle at Eglin AFB and elsewhere that would establish total air superiority immediately over the battlefield.

In other words the Mexican invasion would be crushed almost immediately and any incursion would be annihilated once its supply chain was exposed to US air strikes.

quote:

Canada would invade

With what?

Canada has fewer people in their entire armed services (63k) than the United States have in some military installations. For reference the US has 1.3M active members of the armed forces.

They have 66 fighters and zero attack aircraft.

They have 74 tanks. Total… including non operational ones.

Canada invading would be like a kindergartner punching a UFC fighter and even civilians would be able to destroy any logistical supply chain they’d cobble together to support initial gains in a surprise attack.

Only the neck beards on Reddit would even think this was a plausible scenario.
