. Retired a little early.

Which you can do too with a little bootstrapping if your own.

But you're a union guy, congrats on scale wages and fighting seniority.

Ever have to deal with a bully? As long as you give him your lunch money, he'll keep taking it. Stand up to him and he will move on to someone else. Look at it this way

I'm bigger, stronger and faster than you. For the last few years, each day I come to work you've have punched me in the stomach. I finally had enough and today when you punched me in the stomach, I busted you right in the nose (bloodying both nostrils). You get all butt hurt and throw a tantrum, but I tell you from now on if you punch me you'll get the same in your nose. What ya gonna do? I say you'll quit punching me.

Same with tariffs. Other countries need our markets way more than we need their products.

If they don't cave, make it hurt MORE.

This fricker is not heeding Bessent's warning to not escalate the situation and is now saying they will increase tariffs on American cars

Trump should order an embargo on Canadian goods, with a 100% tariff on any country that trades with them. How about that, eh?

The Shreveport GM plant has been closed for 17 years because our government allowed Canada and Mexico to rape us.

What the hell is a vacation? Even when I'm off work for a week, I'm still working.

I'm definitely not Canadian it seems.

You realize that's exactly what the problem is, right? This is what the reciprocal tarrifs are attempting to solve, across numerous industries that have left the US and taken all those jobs to other countries.

No outside country should be "critical" to any American ____ manufacturing or availability.

Canada and Mexico are still critical. We can't just replace their output on a whim. All the US auto makers other than Tesla are highly dependent on their inputs at the moment.

Why do you think it’s ok to stay with “status quo”? Do you think America deserves fair trade with other Countries?

When in oil and gas, I worked with many men from the North Sea and Canada. The Scots, I like. The Canadians were even nice. But they love not to work and they love to complain. It’s always something. In the OG industry it’s a lot of families that have father and son working the same pipeline then the mom is doing the paperwork blah blah. This is for inspection.

So they would doctor hours etc. typical.

If you are an accountant and want a fun afternoon go look at Canadian payroll.
