No. People gravitate toward professions for a reason.
Men tend toward math and engineering.
Hairdressers tend to be gays.
Lazy people who hate the rich become journalists.

The only way it can be fixed is through bullets, nooses and prison. The media has no fear of repercussions so they lie, obfuscate and foment sedition.
Lincoln had it right...he jailed many and killed a few.
That is how you fix the media...instil fear of wrongdoing.

Probably, but I'd say a sledgehammer, pry bar, nail gun and sawzall would be necessary.

The ability to sue the media for careless or intentional false reporting is probably the best way.
It's amazing isn't it? We have a "truth in advertising" law to protect consumers in this country but no truth in media law to protect consumers of the news.
I think it's way past time to have such a law as that also.

I'm assuming (and hoping) you mean in an ASPCA manner of speaking.

You are seeing the results of the left's 50-60 year takeover of institutions in this country such as the media and education and the march toward an authoritarian one state society enabled by useful idiots: the American people themselves. They are actually voting themselves into slavery.

Accountability would fix it overnight.
Put out a BS story like the Trump Dead-Soldiers-Are-Losers crap, and just pull out the checkbook. The BS would stop immediately.

remove the protections from liability afforded by Section 230(c)
This is the quickest and most obvious plan and is why, I think, the social media has jettisoned all restraints and has pursued censorship through technology available to them and the selective application of community "guidelines" in order to invalidate 2016 and kill 2020 in the womb.
It's not clear to me how far President Trump could go in rectifying the egregious and flagrant biases and the overt censorship through Executive Orders and the FCC or how dependent he'd be on Congressional or Senatorial help.
If Biden/Harris win it's moot and the Republic will be smothered by the long dark Winter of Communism.
Think Thirty Days Of Night . No, check that. Perpetual Night.

Yes it can but we need more helicopter pilots.

Rot is a gradual process that becomes more natural to the environment with time. There will be a time when people look around and say, what the hell do we have to lose by a totally destructive revolt. Or, we gradually become too poor and disorganized to fight off a China takeover and are ruled by a superior race with no freedoms for us, which will be what we deserve. We had it all, and seem to be allowing it to slip through our fingers, like sand in the surf. Sometimes we can make history, and sometimes all we can do is observe it passing before our eyes. In any case, each step will be little noticed from the prior step, and we will grumble into our own little hell. We started off there and built our way up. This may just be a recurring cycle of man's stupidity. After all, we were in Paradise, but couldn't resist one damn apple!

Two ways. Both involve removing protections from prosecution that media outlets and individuals in journalism have.
1. Overturn New York Times vs. Sullivan
2. Clamp down on Section 230(c)

The majority of things would be fixed by federal term limits once it’s not a career they won’t invest so much in screwing things up

Conservatives aren’t the issue. Nationalist conservatives are. The major media are all owned by vast, international corporations who are fully invested in a global economy fueled by disadvantaged labor pools. Trump has threatened that. This is the reason behind the media aggression. Even Nixon never faced an onslaught like it.

This will sound nuts, but we have to decentralized media, and big business in general. Having the media concentrated in liberal bubbles like NY and DC leads to severe group think and lack of diverse ideological talent in the news room. It doesn't help that the advertisers, management, and board members all live in that same bubble.

There would have to be a way for politicians to sue for libel and slander, but this would be dangerously close to infringement of the First Amendment.
If there were a way to separate the ability from the politician to sue on behalf of themselves rather than their capacity in government, that might work, but it’s still an extremely slippery slope.
