Can someone explain the immigration “birthrate” argument to me?

According to leftists and moderates, the west needs to combat declining birth rates with immigration. As the last 15-20 years have shown, that immigration is almost exclusively from third world countries with mostly illiterate, poor immigrants. How on earth would the type of people being imported do anything to offset the alleged effects of birth rate declines including lower tax base, less employees, etc.
In other words, if I have 3 .300 + hitters that can play defense retiring next year, it probably doesn’t do my club any good to put the equipment managers in the lineup as replacements.

Fun fact: There’s nothing wrong with population flattening out or even slightly declining. We don’t have to keep growing at an unsustainable rate.

The real reason they want illegals here is to vote Democrat. While birthrate numbers are declining due to more people having fewer children, the answer is not to bring more people here to increase the birth rate if all they will do is mooch off the system,

Importing low IQ, unskilled, uneducated Third Worlders is not the solution.
When AI, Automation, and Advanced Robotics take over we won't need a single one of them. We are going to be stuck with a bunch of low IQ retards. Japan and South Korea are about the only ones who have this figured out. And tell me why do we need any immigration at this point when we already have 30 to 40 million Illegal immigrants here? Make it make sense.

Those who look at low birthrates as a reason for importing others don't realize that they are adding people from countries with higher birthrates because those people believe it is a good thing to have children.
If we're going to import people who think it's good to have more children, why not just encourage our own people to consider the blessing of children and encourage them to have more?

I use the most recent version of Claude for work. Anyone who thinks this won’t displace millions of jobs is kidding themselves. Claude works faster and more accurate than most admin staff I have dealt with.

So all of the immigrant physicians, engineers, business owners and restaurant owners aren't immigrants?
