Attorney General Bill Barr lied to Congress by spreading fictitious stories about the Department of Justice (DOJ) spying on President Donald Trump‘s 2016 campaign, according to legal experts. And now, congressional calls are ramping up for Barr to be investigated by oversight authorities–and, some critics say, possibly impeached.
“I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal,” Barr told a panel of senators in April of this year–without providing any evidence for the controversial claim. “I think spying did occur.”
Congressional Democrats groused at the time–saying Barr’s comments were the result of “willful ignorance” and that they directly contradicted previous DOJ briefings on the subject.
Former U.S. Attorney and current University of Alabama Law Professor Joyce White Vance said a forthcoming report by the DOJ Office of Inspector General (OIG) will put the lie to Barr’s heavily-criticized “spying” claim once and for all.
“[T]he important takeaway is that everything that President Trump has been saying for the last couple of years about the deep state and the effort by the Obama Justice Department to attack his campaign, that’s all been made up,” Vance told MSNBC. “None of it was true.”
The MSNBC contributor then took direct aim at Barr’s role:

Since the DOJ (the FBI is under the DOJ), actually, literally spied on Trump's campaign, there is nothing fictitious about these "stories."

Bingo. When the Deep State is attacking someone, you can know that 1) the object of their attack is doing good work, and 2) they are hovering over the target.
This happens time after time after time. The DS just recently attacked Jim Jordan FOR THE SECOND TIME about some sort of sexual harassment charges in the Ohio State wrestling program from maybe 20 years ago. Why did this surface after 20 years? Why did it recently resurface when Jordan was reassigned to Schiff's committee?
Same thing happened with Kavanaugh, Nunes, Trump, Jr., John Solomon, etc. Happens to President Trump EVERY DAY. The fact that the DS wants to take out AG Barr is a good sign.

I can not wait to see a real, FACT-BASED Criminal Indictment...with all the t's crossed and i's dotted. It's what Barr/Durham will deliver, and what the Dems will have to deal with.
Their ultimate and only justification for the *spying*, will be that Trump's inflammatory rhetoric - "they are rapists", "grab em' by the p*%&&*", "fire and fury like the World has never seen", "NATO is obsolete", ad infitim - will not be that it was *spying*...but justifiable oversight and investigation.
It'll be like Bill's "depends on what the meaning of the word 'is'...is"; pure bs. But half the Nation will swallow it hook, line and sinker...because they hate Trump, Trump Nation and the America First narrative. It's what 3 decades of Leftist indoctrination in Higher Ed has gotten us...Democratic Fascism.
