CA Edict Restricting Gas Powered Cars and CA Power Grid?

My understanding is that if people transition to electric cars in huge numbers then our national power grid as it is now will quickly be over worked and would cause power disruption.
I also believe CA already has power grid issues with rolling blackouts needed from time to time. Is CA also addressing the grid with this edict?

CA is going to use diesel run generators for power to use for the plug-in recharging stations.

No. THE power grid won't suffer, except that power companies are gonna make a fortune selling electricity to California at huge premiums, which might impact you depending on where you live. Keep in touch with your state and Congressional delegation to be sure that those who oversee your grid don't sell the juice out from under you to satisfy the lunacy in California.

I think leftist believe their own movies too often and think that a magic power source will just appear to save their asses.

going be rough on the elite and hollywood stars, dont know if they make an electric limo or luxury car.

They already have rolling blackouts, wait until all those electric shitboxes are plugged in.

No need to contact Congress. The electrical grid is as heavily regulated as any industry can be

The irony is rich with Newsom. Backed by the Getty family and he pushes this edict. He apparently doesn't understand very much about the laws of thermodynamics or our current and future energy source projections.

I’ll say it again...this will be CA soon:

It seems counter intuitive, but electric vehicles have the same efficiency as Diesel engines. I believe Australia did some analysis on this and found no efficiency loss from using diesel generators to charge EVs.
California is huge and desolate in most places outside of the coast. These types of electric charging stations will be necessary.
The only issue is California also wants to shutdown all fossil fuels as well.

Gavin says all this nonsense but there are plenty active oil and gas wells in CA. Their populous would freak out if they knew.

So will Cali only have two-lane wide gleaming alloy air-cars?

It's the pollution they are concerned about, which is stupid.

Looks like it’s going to bicycles, feet, and beasts of burden.

The Tony Stark Arc reactors will be online soon to solve all Cali's problems.
That must be what they think.

Your whole way of looking at this is wrong.
The CA politicians don’t want people to be able to use their cars like they currently do. They think that the volume of cars on the road now is responsible for many other issues.
They don’t do anything meaningful to relieve the worst traffic in the world in the hope that you’ll just stay home, carpool with 4 of your buddies, or take non-existent public transportation. That’s not working so they are going with Plan B.

The power grid itself is powered by fossil fuels so there really isn't much to gain. The California grid is probably one of the worst in the nation as they have tried to restrict the use of non-wind/solar. Its simply not going to work they way they claim.
Its all about a show, the problem with CA is the show is now causing real world problems for themselves.
