Exactly. Picking crops, like any other highly labor intensive work should come with a decent wage. Americans would pick avocados and other fruits and vegetables for $20 an hour. And then we wouldn't have to subsidize their food stamps, health care, utilities assistance, section 8 housing and welfare.

Trust me when I say that 20 cent tomato costs you a lot more than 20 cents.

Cry me a rio grande. Start a viable business that doesn’t depend on slave wages to survive.

I liked this story better when it was told in the American South in 1865.

If you watch the clip it sounds like he wants to use H2-A workers but the current regulations require him to provide housing. I think this is more of a case of CNN twisting his words to fit their agenda than him complaining about not having illegals.
