Business flight fun today.

I boarded my American Airlines flight this morning, Minneapolis to DFW. I had a center seat in one of the front rows of coach and while boarding, got up to let an older late 60's/early 70's woman in.
When she sat down she started going off at the lack of TV monitors on the back of seats. I let her know that many people, myself included, prefer to use our own devices with higher resolution and we can use our own Bluetooth headphones or ear buds. She started in:
"I don't want to use my damn phone. They should have TV's here like Delta does!"
So, I offered to show her how, and helped her to get online and showed her Direct TV channel guide, Movies, TV Series, and Apple Music were all there. She never said thank you, she just said, "Well this is NOT passenger friendly and I'm writing the Department of Transportation to complain. She then threw her phone in her large oversized purse and pouted, huffing like a petulant child that had just had enough of adults telling it what to do.
So she pulls out of her purse these torn out sheets of newspaper articles she had in her purse and starts reading them. They were about:
- Abortion rights and how to counter Christian activists.
- Legislation to protect elections drop boxes.
- Putin's favorite puppet; Donald Trump
- Unconstitutional arrests of Palestinian protestors and efforts to reel in university presidents.
I was just chilled and listening to music, but decided to use my tablet to watch Netflix. In honor of my seat mate, I started watching Get Me Roger Stone, figuring she was the type that would be bothered by it
Yep, sure enough, she tapped me on the arm, I paused it so I could hear her, took out my ear pod and the screen was paused on Trump coming down the escalor at Trump Tower.
"Can you watch something else. That man is evil."
Me - "Who, Roger Stone?"
"No, that evil bastard Trump. I can't believe anyone would want to watch that man for entertainment."
Me - "I can't believe we allow women to vote, but I don't go around complaining about it when they do."
Now the guy next to me on the aisle seat is laughing, and she turned red in the face and just glared at me. I put my ear bud back in and started back to watching my show.
She never said another word.
Fun times.

Progressive white women have destroyed the country, why wouldn’t they destroy a flight? Nobody calls bullshite on these women, they live their entire lives defining themselves by their resentments and grievances , with an uncanny propensity to have everything exactly backwards. I would have made an effort to make sure she saw Trump as many times as possible. Would have been fun making her melt in front of everyone.

I CAN imagine how exhausting it can be to deal with a person like this, though. Trying to stretch and “accidentally” elbowing them in the jaw seems appropriate.

I was flying back from Honolulu to DFW in the Summer of 2022. I got separated from my family and took the single seat next to a progressive woman still wearing a mask.
She berated me for not wearing a mask, and got the flight attendant's attention and said she was uncomfortable sitting next to me because I wasn't wearing a mask. I said I was happy to move if there was another seat.
Of course it was a full flight. The flight attendant surprisingly informed her of that and that masks were not mandated and that she could remove herself from the flight. For the entire time I faked a cough every few minutes.
