I don’t see any correlation between Trump’s policies and principled conservative policies.

Could you give some examples of the Principled conservative values you are referring to?

I will never forget Bush's always siding with democrats when the going got rough, and the GHW New world order speech.

We all held our noses and then they governed like democrats under the guise of diversity. Remember McCain defending Obama at the rally and Palinizing.Palin, when she was an astute governor.

Remember Dubya being a democrat? Disguised as faux diversity? SNLIVE NAILS IT.

I thought that Bush was educated as a teacher of children. So how (nepotism) did she land that NBA job that is far from being a teacher?

Below is from the article. Seems plausible this is as much about self-aggrandizement for her unique work place situation as anything.

Barbara Bush, 44, is currently an executive at the National Basketball Association, where she is vice president of social impact and inclusion. Her FEC filing reflected an address in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.

Low income taxes, ok, but without cutting spending is just deficit spending.

Less regulations, ok I can see that

Free speech - I don’t see that. He cries about free speech publicly, sues people and news organizations for speech, and has his FCC commissioner strongarm networks to curtail negative stories.

Obeying the second amendment. How is that a policy? Maybe ties to less regulations.

The low income taxes gives us a better jumping off place for when the negotiations inevitably take place to cut the deficit. That’s weak, yes, but it’s better than the democrat alternative.

I disagree with you on free speech. It’s true trump is personally a jackass on that topic, but his administration is NOT trying to legislate speech codes. That is a gigantic difference.

The Trump administration hues to the second amendment; the democrats would overtirn in completely.

I think you have a point when it comes to the division between traditional conservatives versus MAGA/ America First. That is a fault line within the GOP currently.

As you know, there are two separate groups with different attitudes vying for leadership within the Republican Party.

It’s is impossible to appease both all the time. Rubio tries to do it. Unsuccessfully.
Vance comes across his not really having strong convictions.

The so called traditional conservatives were democrats all along.

Add in the principled libertarians and you have neocons and neoliberals voting for a freak called Talarico.

Bushes feather the nest for the future. Don’t need a Weatherman to see which way the wind blows.

MAGA and America First have dissolved into two separate movements as well. MAGA is all vengeance.
