encrypted comms pretty much mean anything
Almost every post made on this website uses encrypted comms.
It is most likely Apple has access to all of the iCloud data too.

BS. It's private property and anyone, especially someone as disgusting as a government agent, who trespasses should be subject to lethal force by the home owner if necessary. Get a warrant if you're so sure if yourself.

think in texas a game warden does not need a search warrant to go in a house looking for game.

know in Louisiana they don’t either.
Come again? You sure about that? A state game warden can just bust up into your dwelling on suspicion of you having an illegal kill?
That can’t be right. At least there hasn’t been a suit filed to challenge it and I find that hard to believe.

Serious here. If the Federal Wildlife Guys make another visit tell your buddy to lawyer up to protect. It's most likely nothing on his end but he should cover himself....or straight up ask them. They most probably don't really care what your friend did from a legal liability standpoint
I had a visit from them years ago due to some work a friend of mine with some seafood labeling had . After talking to them they were not really concerned with any actions my friend performed. I told him to tell them everything he knew. He ended up getting a free plane ride back to NO to testify in front of a federal grand jury where he was not a target or even a person of interest

They should be enter "open field" property without probable cause. I belive they have made the argument they should not be required to get a warrant due to time required, but they should not go willy-nilly where they choose.
I agree. Get a damn warrant.
This is their reasoning:

This doctrine balances private property rights with the public trust responsibilities of state and federal fish and wildlife management agencies.

Yep. Encryption is basically everywhere. It's why it's so disingenuous for the FBI to use such a vague term. Even fb messenger is encrypted.. but the FBI has a working relationship with Facebook and can most likely get the info they seek with the help of fb execs. Just using messenger as an example.
By implying they can't look into something because of encryption... it can mean they literally can't access something, or it can mean they can easily access something, but they just don't want to delve deeper into the assassination attempt, and want to just leave matters as is. We'll never know which one it is, because of the vague terminology.

does the 4th amendment to the US constitution not apply in Texas?
Texas Game Wardens have the power to search property without a warrant, break locks and enter without a warrant if they suspect a violation of the Texas Parks and Wildlife code.

I don't make the rules ma'am.
They can confiscate gear, guns, game, 4x4, side by sides and you. Take your license and prevent you from hunting till the end of time, if you take an animal that belongs to the state Texas illegally.
With out a warrant, and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.
Hard STOP.
Edited for spelling of WARRANT for the spelling bee commies.

Why you don't put anything into another companies Cloud, as that takes away your control of it since they just needed to subpoena Apple if they can't hack in someway.
Phones with large amounts of HD space aren't expensive.

You are disgusting in supporting such blatant contempt of the Constitution.

Yeah, you can't read:

Wildlife and Fisheries has long been known to play fast and loose with the law in general. Tom has a case...and a good one in LA because the statute is clear as to protections on private property. The only thing I could guess is that LDWF reads that prohibition to mean the homestead and not a separate tract?
In terms of real world motivation though, looks like Tom got on their radar. If I was representing Tom, I would probably ask him if he had any disputes with neighbors. People can be chickenshite, like that, unfortunately and will use things like this to make another person uncomfortable.

I told my wife yesterday that it's ironic that the federal law enforcement agencies can find every person that was at the capitol from J6, even though they live a thousand miles away. But they can't seem to find one 20 year old that is 130 yards away.

When you put your exploits on social media like many did, it's easy to find them. So far there has been no real trail left by this shooter. Minimal if non existence of social media or any other meaningful online presence.
