Increased ad spending for Bud Light (vinepair.com)

Also, it's now time to give every employee of every distributer a free case of 'Bud Light'... Dilly-Dilly.

quote:

“I lost my cowboy bars and now I could lose my gay bars, too,” one distributor told the Wall Street Journal.
... Maybe all 3 of them (FID)

A Majority Of Bars Were Reportedly Not Serving Bud Light (A Sponsor) At Stagecoach Festival

Stagecoach, in Indio, California.

According to Variety, although the Bud Light Backyard stage served the beer (as Bud Light was a sponsor of the festival and this particular stage), a number of the other bars didn’t even touch it.

Variety says:

“While the Bud Light Backyard stage served the cold beer, most other bars are not offering it whatsoever following the company having given a celebratory, commemorative beer can to transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.”

Bud Light Brewer AB InBev Beats Forecasts on Strong Pricing (shorty bloomberg)

Company doesn’t mention marketing controversy over Bud Light ... Dilly-Dilly.

Can't give it away... dailymail.com

quote:

Bump Williams, the founder of the firm, said Bud Light must apologize and added: 'Right now their compass is completely broken. There's no game plan.'

Williams said that without a clear plan to navigate the backlash and turn around the decline in sales, 'Bud Light is in serious trouble this year'. He said the brand is still the biggest-selling in America, but risks being overtaken by Modelo Especial by the end of the year if the backlash continues.

All of this as A-B states yesterday:
............."It was one can... to one influencer. Not a formal campaign" ... Double-Downie.

FID Note:
The best article however (not linked [because of conspiracy] but summarized) was a former CEO of A-B stating the decline started when Belgian-Brazilian beverage company InBev bought the company. Marketing shifted away from the US and the decline started then.
Now, marketing has come back to the US and the executives here don't seem to know their cliental. He stated, 'they've never been to NASCAR, never been to a football game... they don't know their market anymore'

One thing they do know... how destroy a brand. Nice job Alissa Heinerscheid.

For the progressives here at tRant, please don't get an erection from the condoms. It's bad form. You may acknowledge you haven't read this by issuing a down-vote.

Go woke, go broke. Make your spending dollars matter by supporting companies that share your beliefs.

BL is in a pickle now because they didn’t know their core audience and they didn’t actually apologize. They also have the issue that their core drinkers can easily switch brand and are the type to bust friends balls if they drink the Tran fluid.

They have a much tougher road back then others.

Will/can Bud Light recover from such a catastrophic public relations/advertising gaffe? Maybe, but it's gonna be awhile, and probably a long while.

Why do they think this matters? He's a grown man pretending to be a 13 year old girl. He's either a pedophile himself or a signal to pedophiles all across the country & you chose to put his face on the label of your product.

"It's just one can". No one gives a shite.

This is a microcosm of the whole political struggle. Progressive Left dodges the people and takes control via Management, and then it ends up being the hard working distributors that takes the hit.

Dems open the Border and crash the USD, and guess who gets the shaft?

"Behold, there is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is destruction". Egalitarianism is the road to hell. There will never nor should there be Worldly equality, because people should get what they earn. Jesus and Hitler are not equal.

I don’t see them turning it around. Bud has close comp that is at the same price point and delivers a relative same product plus the core driving consumers are the type that won’t let anything go.

I wasn’t huge on Bud light before this but now if a friend brought one over I’d mock them about being a gay tranny

frick that. The company hates people like me and I won't do business with them, especially when there are so many superior options.

Also to you baws - Ford is woke AF and hates the type of person that drives an F-250 or F-150 as well. There are superior options....buy one of them instead.

Hines.

She was put on leave and not fired. No doubt, this was probably approved at a higher level, which they don't want us to know, at this point. If this was due to a rogue marketing director, that director should have been fired and an apology issued.

I have a feeling they knew exactly who their core audience was and thought they could take them for granted while trying to pander to new drinkers.

The marketing dumbfrick over this basically said as much after the story broke.

Maybe a new commercial or message that says something like this: "Despite our recent dumbassery, we appreciate our longtime customer base and want to assure you we were looking for additional beer drinkers, not trying to piss off the hardworking men and women of this country but unfortunately we did and we apologize."

Wonder if it's the bottled stuff that is about to go out of date?
