Excuses, excuses, excuses! When will we have done/spent/given enough of our hard earned money in the form of taxes that will satisfy people who feel slighted because of past discrimination? I’m sure we spend more taxpayer money than ever giving out “free” education, medical care, programs, etc., and yet here we are. How much time will it take to see this philosophy work? Will it happen before most urban areas are unlivable?

Blacks have destroyed every aspect of public education in Baton Rouge provided to them by you.

How many times should it be repaired for them after they are finished destroying it?

What I listed aren't excuses. Its reality. In order to reduce crime you need people who are educated (good schools) and have good jobs.

Leaders of these troubled groups are constantly making excuses that the government isn’t doing enough. But serious question, how much longer until things change? We’ve been doing what you propose for how many years now?

Jesus Christ. Remember that whole cycle thing I mentioned? Going scorched earth on the streets will not solve the problem by itself. More people will simply come up to replace them if you don’t fix the schools and have good paying jobs waiting for them.

People like you and the policies you support CAUSED the problem. Furthermore, it was intentional.

The thought that people like you would actually try and fix them is humorous.

"Fix the schools". FFS, the school boards run by you leftists are the ones who frick things up...but the social destruction that you've done to the black population is what really makes schools the way that they are. It is impossible to "fix the school". "The school", while it does suck because of people like you, is not the primary problem.

We are facing 50+ years of Democrats building this situation.

What exactly did I propose other than to improve public education and jobs?

It's incredibly naïve that you think these are solutions.

The actual problem is what is ruining public education. Fatherless homes and ghetto culture. That’s the problem. There’s plenty of good people who come from public education. The problem is at home.

Think about why public schools can’t fill teacher positions and there’s a mass exodus to private education on the student and faculty level.

We have been throwing money at education and making everything associated with it free and more available. Also, there are more jobs than qualified people who aren’t on drugs and have enough motivation to consistently show up for work. Again, when is this cycle you speak of going to be complete? I am in agreement with you on the stronger criminal justice system, lol!

HOW do you propose that these two goals be achieved?

Schools have a significant population of students who may or may not show up, when they do show up they may choose to participate but more often than not choose to disrupt their classes instead and behave violently towards their fellow students and teachers. Will those students be removed from schools so that those who want to learn can do so in a non-violent environment without constant interruptions? You will not keep good teachers in schools where they are not safe and disruptive students are not removed, no matter how much you pay them.

As for good paying jobs, the job market has been steadily increasing wages at the low end of employment for 2 years now. The entry level job market cannot (and should not) compete with subsidized housing, food, medical care, etc provided by the government in exchange for... nothing.

They have to be willing to receive the education and work the jobs. Many aren’t.

That is absolutely true and that generally stems from your home life and upbringing.

I grew up with numerous impoverished kids with bad home situations. None of them grew up to be thuggish murderers and many are productive members of society.

Largest problem is a certain demo celebrates and glorifies rap/thug culture.

What you’re doing is advocating for the continuation of policies that time after time have proven to be failures because you’re eventually expecting a different result.

That is the very definition of insanity.

What policy specifically are you talking about? Pushing for job creation, strong criminal justice, and better schools is now insanity?

No.

But all the vague generalities you’re talking about have been tried for over 50 years and trillions of dollars. Continuing to indiscriminately throw money down a hole indefinitely with no return on the investment IS insane.

And that is clearly what you’re advocating for. Don’t pretend otherwise.

At some point, something else has to be tried.
