In this post, Decatur expresses fake concern over some imaginary, potential threat greater than his concerns about real threats that happened on multiple occasions to Trump.

you sure are sweating through a lot of dress shields this week

It's not like those threats are announced on the evening news.
Looks like this supposed Bolton one got announced. If that got announced, why should I assume there are many others that haven't been?
Why NOT announce such a thing? If Iran is ACTIVELY trying to kill our current or former government officials, shouldn't we be well aware of such a thing?

Pompeo was always there to throttle Trump's agenda. Good move by Trump. Fauci needs his detail yanked.

Besides Trump, what was the last verified credible assassination threat of a current or former US Government official in the US?
They claim this year but of course we're not privy to the underlying intel.

You think Iran really wants to create the massive firestorm that would come with doing so, simply in order to take out someone like Pompeo?
Yes, I think they'd love to. The killing of Soleimani was a big blow to the prestige of the mullahs. It's not far-fetched to think they're willing to suffer some airstrikes to recover "face". It's not like the Biden Pentagon was a threat to do more than fire a few missiles. (And probably not even target the leaders.)
But at some point, these frickers need to make their own security arrangements. I've got no problem with extending temporary SS protection but it shouldn't be lifelong.

His? those swampers never worked for him.

Aren't these guys rich? Can't they just...buy their own security?

A loser just out of high school came within a millimeter of killing a former President with a massive Secret Service (and local law enforcement, at the time) detail protecting him. If Iran truly had the will and desire to murder someone like Pompeo, would they really be completely deterred and thwarted by a couple of Marshall flunkies parked outside his door.

I guess you would be okay If someone fricks you over as Pompeo did to Trump and not make sure that they would never be able to do that again
Posted on 1/23/25 at 10:36 am to fr33manator
of course they can. and maybe they'll be less war mongery if they have to think of their own consequences.

Pompeo should be in jail. He tried to extrajudicially kill an American citizen

You should ask your doc to adjust your meds.
you should ask your doc about the reason former president's get secret service protection for life and former government workers don't.
he would tell you that the former presidents act of 1958 and subsequent legislation passed in 1965 and 1968 gave the former president and his spouse a pension and secret service protection for life.
former government workers get secret service at the pleasure of the president and as we're seeing that can be easily revoked.

Well then you think it is time for him to die. There are probably some Persians out there who will get it done.

expand his wars to Iran, escalate the spying and revocation of people’s civil liberties, and expand the CIA’s power. Pompeo in the very least must pay for illegally producing bioweapons, one of which was Covid-19.
What is the source for all this malfeasance from Pompeo??
I've never heard a discussion of it - but am aware that Pompeo causes a visceral reaction to many on here.
What's the beef??

I doubt it. They’re just saying this shite so in case one of the people in power is assassinated that they can use it to start a war with Iran. They were going to try this shite with Crooks.
Yeah, you are likely correct. But if he does get off'd we will have a better idea as to the reality of threat from countries who announce they are going to do it. One thing for sure. If Iran really does assassinate US citizens, they will always need to be aware of what may be flying above them.

Why do these people get security details after they are out of office?
When they say security detail, are they saying 24/7 coverage? I would think that would that at least 4 people to do that.
