I swear... every time I say it can't get any worse... it just does. FISA was never meant to be a rubber stamp of any kind. Pretty serious stuff to spy on citizens.

I heard people complaining about this stuff back when George Bush and his folks were justifying this kind of stuff. Guess they were right. I just never imagined that it would get this out of hand. Shocking.

The whole Carter Page thing was an op to get surveillance on people without going through the formal process and creating a trail. I have no doubt that the FBI, DOJ, and the Judges are all collaborating on ops like this routinely. I would be shocked if Page wasn't a witting instrument, given his background in intel/banking and history with the FBI.

Deflect. Our Government spied on an American citizen and an opposing Presedential campaign with no hearings and fake information

You should be ashamed of yourself

If you read the filing, it says that no hearings are typically held in FISA court so this is not unusual.

Nothing special was done to Page and that's the point. The FISA court has been secrecy run amok for 40 years.

This is the bottom line, and it's the highest form of open corruption I can remember ever.

Well, now we know why none of the FBI/DOJ officials have been held in contempt for intentionally misleading the court.

The courts DGAF.

Greenwald warned of this five years ago.

And Republicans recently backed the 702 reauthorization. Neither party gives a frick about checking govt surveillance unless it's politically expedient.

Another good point - mostly. Most Dems voted against reauthorization, but enough voted for it to pass.

Senor Nunes voted aye.

(stick around, sir)
