Anyone arguing for a regulation from the 1930’s to apply in today’s market place is kidding themselves. I don’t know the right answer but that law was total bs. Amazon, Google and Facebook were becoming so powerful they are close to buy the ISPs anyway. Google can already give you specific content, so can Facebook, so can Netflix....so this idea of picking content is dumb as it is being written about daily that twitter and Facebook and google are already doing this.

Wow. I'm surprised the nonstop fearmongering and pearl clutching didn't work.

Then why would ISPs contribute money to politicians willing to repeal it.

Why do you need to use the internet? And if it's only occasionally, drive down to your local library and use the public computers.

I have to use it for work regularly. And it's also the most important technological innovation in modern times. To restrict it's access and allow government sanctioned monopolies to content it's content, is either the most unamerican it American thing possible. I'm not sure which anymore.

Feel free to slob the knob of Comcast and Time Warner. I'm sure you're a huge fan of CNN and MSNBC. They can obviously be trusted to do the right thing for Americans..

The only silver lining is that potentially many ISP’s will see the writing on the wall with how unpopular this is(84% of Americans support NN and 3 in 4 Republican voters) and the tea leaves from congressional elections and hold off on going right back to the frickery they were increasingly engaging in before NN, thinking a future Democratic Congress will pass legislation and dare Trump to veto it.

Wait. Wut? Unfrickingpossible.

There will be bodies. You said there would be bodies. These companies react to NOTHING! They will set fire to you all!!!!

84% of Americans (perhaps you can tell us where you got your stats from) have NO idea what NN means. Their only 'knowledge' of it is based on tweets, FB posts and rants, and other such useful 'research.'

You call what's happening in this thread high level discourse?

I'm simply observing the fricking thing passed. Another 40 page thread on what will happen if it passes seems like a discussion of what happened to a girl's virginity...........AFTER sex.

You're going to need that "free money" when your internet bill is comparable to an unlimited smartphone data plan.

Yup.

What a friggin pretense.

If people gave REAL answers on NN, then the poll would be something like this.

Have an opinion based on some level of knowledge about what NN is (10%)

Have no fricking idea what the hell NN even really is? 90%

And I'm probably being kind.

It's like you don't even read your own stuff.

The first time you came at me with this type response it was when I responded to a post of yours that said,
quote:

What actions of the Republicans so far make you think anything will stop them from passing their donor stimulus?

LOL. You thought that deserved a serious response.
