Why should I care about Trump's tax returns from decades ago? I want every person to be able to do whatever it is they can to pay no taxes. Starve the leviathan.

Trump has owned or had a partnership in 512 business ventures as of 2016, do you care to guess what percentage of those had a bankruptcy filing?

How many of the bankruptcies were actually restructurings, which is a common tool used by businesses all over America? Just like his taxes, is Trump supposed to not utilize the same tools that everyone else has available?

Yes. Many of those are just shell LLC’s that hold debt for his other business properties. But hey if I hold 999 LLCs that have $999 combined in assets, but go bankrupt and lose everything in the 1 LLC that has $10,000,999 in it, I may have lost $10,000,000, but only 0.1% of my businesses went bankrupt.

Exactly my point that you can only rly on the NYT’s interpretation of a tax return. There’s a lot more to a family business’ taxes than one shareholder’s 20 year old tax returns.

How many of his entities have gone bankrupt? How did you come across the info on the “shell” LLCs?
