Biden falsely claims he's commuted over the Francis Scott Key Bridge, "by train or by car."

FUN FACT: That bridge is a road and has NEVER had trains go over it.

Our infrastructure on many bridges are in bad shape.

This is true. But a brand new bridge would have suffered the same fate here.

Ah yes. That time the transportation personally fricked with the train to cause a derailment incident.

Not sure how expensive these are, but this should become the standard around major shipping ports.

Sad that we have to wait until tragedy strikes to see the wisdom in these measures.

Why didn't they drop anchor immediately following catastrophic failure?

The anchors wouldn’t have done a single thing. Nothing could have stopped the vessel at that distance without power or steering.

Then why did the vessel make a B-line toward the bridge? The drift was that powerful for a ship that size?

I understand that, but I'm just curious why it wasn't also used to help slow down the vessel.

It's been reported they did drop anchor. The ship weighs over 100,000 tons. It will not stop on a dime.

With no power a ship loses most steering control at low speeds as the flow of water over the rudder is not sufficient to guide the ship. "Steerage speed" is how fast the ship must travel to maintain the ability to steer.

Conspiracy "theory", from none other than Ms.Lara Logan, herself.

Multiple intel sources: Baltimore bridge collapse was an “absolutely brilliant strategic attack” on US critical infrastructure - most likely cyber - & our intel agencies know it. In information warfare terms, they just divided the US along the Mason Dixon line exactly like the Civil War.
