Trying to extort a giant multinational corp is a bold play. It's also exceptionally stupid.

This is like the end of The Godfather. Trump is settling all of the family business.

I don't know if I can stand much more winning.

I feel a little guilty.

Avenatti was charged in NYC this morning for the NIKE thing.

Was just charged in LA for a totally separate racket.

Charged on both coasts within 45 minutes of each other. That's gotta be a record. Justice Dept complaint - LA

The left still hasn't give up hope that Avenatti will save their party and take down Trump along with the NCAA! Liberals are so stupid.

Avenatti has accomplished:

-Getting Stormy Daniels to pay $300,000 to Trump in legal fees

-Helping to get Kavanaugh on the Supreme Court

-Going to prison for extorting Nike.

It’s like that scene in The Dark Knight where the analyst discovers Bruce Wayne is Batman and tries to extort Lucius Fox.

“So you claim Nike, one of the biggest and most powerful corporations on the planet, is corrupt and your plan is to blackmail them? Good luck.”

Who does he think he is getting charged today by two different US Attorney’s offices for two sets of crimes? Paul Manafort?

Surprised this turd hasn't been disbarred yet: he violated ethics rules by talking to Cohen without the permission of Cohen's lawyer, domestic violence issues, already incurred a bar complaint, the Stormy Daniels lawsuit nonsense, incurred millions in tax liens and now this, ethics committees must be really lax towards slimeballs

It appears they waited and he tweeted to provide damning information against himself.

What a fricking idiot. Did he really think Nike and their lawyers would just lay down??

The Nike lawyers set up a sting where they were like "please Mr. Avenatti tell us again your proposal in which you solicit an 8-figure sum of money, not for your client, but for you personally." And Avenatti was like "LOL okay."

Nike lawyers had to be laughing so hard after.

Pro tip: if you do something shady, and then they go quiet for a while, and then they are like "please, let us have a phone call in which you reiterate your plan to Do Crimes with us," you say "no, that is not a thing" and you hang up and you never talk to them again.
