But surely that isn't what you would do if you were POTUS

The problem is that the powers that be want war precisely bc they want nation building.
We have the most bad arse military on earth. We can win every fight we start. There’s never a plan once it’s done.
Leave those wackos alone

Why are you cheering on the Ayatollahs?

Only that gaping pussy Obama wouldn't respond to a $130M piece of hardware being blown out of the sky.

It's definitely more complicated than you are giving it credit for. We don't want war with Iran (or anyone), but we also cannot tolerate having our assets attacked. If we do not retaliate, then NK is going to assume we are paper tigers, and they'd be right. We are going to blow something up, then it'll be up to the Iranians exactly how far things go from there. Mark my words, something in Iran is getting reduced to rubble within the next few days.
There it is.
The Mullahs have paid and hid behind their terrorist proxies for decades, and wreaked havoc across the ME. They've pushed the wrong POTUS in the corner; after the coming hit...they'd better let their dream of Islamist hegemony go.

Obama would apologize, then send them more cash.

Trump is going to bomb but not invade.

while i agree we don't want another war, our navy/military is worldwide. This is because our interests are worldwide. This goes back to the Marines stopping the Barber Pirates in Lybia because they attacked our ships.
this is a global economy and US citizens and interests are global. We are there as a deterant and a protector to american interests.

Just because he invited Congressional leaders to the situ room briefing, it made the news. I don't think anything will be done. The way that it was said no human (none of our guys) was hurt. Trump is Trump. I think he invited Congress because that is how he rolls, not necessarily war or any strike.

"You're going to find out. They made a very big mistake," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office ahead of a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, adding that "it would have made a big, big difference" if U.S. military personnel were victims in such an attack.
"I find it hard to believe it was intentional, if you want to know the truth. I think that it could have been somebody who was loose and stupid that did it," the president said, describing the assault as "a new wrinkle" and "a new fly in the ointment."
"Let's see what happens," he said. "It's all going to work out."
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard claimed it destroyed the drone because it violated Iranian airspace, and Gen. Hossein Salami, the Guard's commander, said in a televised address Thursday that "we are fully ready for war," according to the AP.
But the U.S. military has asserted that the unmanned aircraft was taken down in "an unprovoked attack on a U.S. surveillance asset" over international airspace above the Strait of Hormuz.
"This attack is an attempt to disrupt our ability to monitor the area following recent threats to international shipping and the free flow of commerce," Lt. Gen. Joseph Guastella, commander of the U.S. Air Force Central Command, told reporters at the Pentagon in a phone briefing Thursday afternoon.
“This dangerous and escalatory attack was irresponsible, and occurred in the vicinity of established air corridors between Dubai, UAE and Muscat, Oman — possibly endangering innocent civilians," Guastella added.
The White House is inviting congressional leaders to a Situation Room briefing on Iran on Thursday afternoon, according to three people familiar with the matter.
