Somalia is a legal fiction. We have no business there.
The Horn of Africa has been a dysfunctional shithole dominated by tribal, ethnic, and religious conflict for the entirety of recorded history.
Nothing anyone in the Western World ever does will end that situation. Italy and Britain tried. Any and everyone with any sense or chance of establishing prosperous civilization left the area tens of thousands of years ago.

The quotes in the article are from some unnamed source who is completely ignorant.
bullshite. 5th Group and the 160th can leave Ft. Campbell and do work there in less travel time than the mission profile gets worked up.
I would bet there were some against the withdrawal and many more for it. Not everyone in any organization agree 100% unless it is a very unhealthy organization.
We completely shite the bed in the Afghanistan withdrawal only to go back into a worse shithole?
