Few weeks ago they released photos of him fully dressed, sitting upright in a chair, appearing visibly more spry than he has in some time, and seemingly hooked up to NOTHING.

What hospital keeps a patient for a couple of weeks beyond THAT condition, with no indication of when he might be released, and why???

I suspect he's had a debilitating stroke or something similar. He may not even know what's going on around him, or if he does he's unable to speak or respond properly. Old people have these types of events and survfor a while, takes time to get a little better, but the end is near.
The selfish POS imo or going to be those around him, I suspect he's in survival mode.

Sure. And no hospital in America is holding such patients on the regular floor in a room for weeks on end in such a condition any longer these days.

yeah no... as others have noted, it's better for republicans that he not 'die' until after August 3rd to prevent special election. and, also why he's predicted to take a big downtown and die second week of August

August 3 is just the dead line for a separate, stand-alone election. If the vacancy happens in the next month, it just gets combined with the general election.

The governor is out of the loop on this one.

If the vacancy happens within the 56 day window before the general, the seat sits empty until January.

Can we at least see a video recording of the Senator speaking one sentence? Is this too much to ask?

It’s all one team and political theatre.

If you ever have to question that remember this.

At this point, KY voters should be clamoring for him to resign

Nah. I am no Mitch fan but I loathe Beshear so I'm good with my fiction of Mitch still being alive to keep the trans loving covid tyrant from appointing a trans loving Democrat as Senator.

Exactly what I've been thinking. If he was "allegedly" having 20-minute phone conversations a few weeks ago, why can't they produce a 15-second video now?

Pathetic that this person was even allowed to step foot in DC for the last 15-20 years. Poster child for term limits
