The ability to wire money from the U.S. to Mexico without significant fees. If Trump would let them know he is going to hit wire transfer fees from the U.S. to Mexico at 30% of the total to pay for our wall since Mexico has no interest in checking illegal immigration from South America to the U.S. I guarantee there will be immediate action taken by the Mexican government.

Closing the physical border is a good start but not sure how this can be done with commerce/goods. Closing the wire transfer stuff down would be devastating on many levels. This is how you get Mexico to start stopping illegal immigrants from entering Mexico in the South to start with.

Tax it and use it to pay for the wall.

Totally agree, the largest influx of money into the economy of Mexico is money from the US...from Mexicans. I don't think there's anyway to stop the money transfers, someone will come up with an app that skirts detection.

this is where he should hit them... I semi understand him cutting aid to those countries, but that is only going to drive them to send more people out of the country.

Hit Mexico for allowing them to enter their country and pass through freely with the sole intent to break through our border.

Tax those remittances, and shut that border. NOBODY crosses. NO asylum, anyone crossing is immediately turned back, lawyers be damned.

Screw Pedro Juanita and Jose. And the sorry traitors on our side of the border too. Let's see who runs to the courts when he does this.

So he goal of republican controlled US policy is to figure out ways to harass Mexicans and people of Mexican heritage? Got it.

So if people of Mexican heritage want to be free in America to assist their relatives back in Mexico, they should always vote for Democrats.

Yet I bet you have no problem with capitalists being punished for trying to "hide" their monies in some type of offshore accounts.

I've been saying this for ages. What you said, plus, if those already here don't send money home, they won't be able to claim their mexican dependents on their income tax.

Simple solution. You have to be either a citizen or be here on a legal visa to export funds.

I agree but they would learn to use another means to move money around like cryptocurrency or something else.

Good point. If you're here illegally seems to me making money during that time could also be interpreted as being an illegal act, sorta like drug traffickers.

Agree, we should be taxing ANY funds leaving the US to those problem countries to the south.

There's going be a bunch of cash trying to sneak across the border. Just a side effect.

Cuba has a wire tax for money coming from the US, the companies just wire to Canada and onto Cuba.

The US could easily monitor they control the swift system for the entire world, if its US cash, they can control it electronically.

Need to move it into the 40%-45% range. Make it really hurt.

The money rarely ends up helping people in the country, trust me, I live in a 3rd world country, and most of you on the board would puke if you saw the "projects" your tax dollars (through UN, USAid, World Bank, IDF, and direct funding) were wasted on.
