They left the US due to what they believed to be racist discrimination (whether it was real or just perceived is irrelevant as the end result is that they were motivated to move to escape it). Africa has its own avenue of discrimination: tribalism. There are over 3,000 tribes spread across the many countries of Africa. Some get along with other tribes, some get along with only certain other tribes and some get along with pretty much no other tribes. This not-getting-along aspect can range from social distancing/disapproval to outright killing (and depending on which tribe is doing the killing and where, it could be completely allowed by (or done by) the local government).

They have been raised to base their initial beliefs on whether or not someone is discriminating against them based on that other person being of a different race. How are they going to adapt when they are discriminated against by people who are of the same race?

A couple next door to me some years ago in Manhattan rented their loft out for $5000 a months when they were paying $500. They went to Africa and lived like kings and queens. They were white, but where ever they went, the people were friendly.

People do that by going to Central America or South America too.

Works up until the point where the locals figure that the gringo is an ATM and start targeting them.

How would that be possible? It cost money to travel back then, plus africa was about to be colonized by Europe.

Liberia was founded by freed slaves after the civil war in 1822.

Anything else?

Someone should educate them on the Rwandan genocide(1994),Burundi gencide (1993),First and Second Congo Wars(1996-1997,1998-2003).

Liberia-First and Second Civi Wars.

It’s not exactly a bed of roses over there.

I’d highlight this in particular.

American-descended blacks putting themselves in power over the native blacks didn’t go well in the long term.

absence of... discrimination they experienced in the United States.

Well, that's not going to be true. But good for them.

People have a right to find a place where they feel happy and free... And others have a right to not hear the complaining about it when some don't choose to exercise that right.

I wish I could live in another country part time, dump on the USA but keep my citizenship for when I need to come back when the grass is not actually always greener.

Lol no Americans are moving anywhere bro. Don't let a few videos on YouTube or any platform fool you. This is our homeland, we are not fleeing or migrating anywhere.

Read the entire article. Most move back because they’re viewed differently in Africa than the regular Africans. In other words, they’re VICTIMS no matter where they are.

Translated: Africans don't want to deal with American black culture, either.
