If you have to constantly remind yourself not to show your anger in public maybe you need to evaluate why you get angry so often.

"When road tripping, every Black person knows not to stop in a rural area for gas or a pee break if you can help it, especially at night. I know someone whose child actually peed their pants because the area they were driving through was a sundown town, and they weren't going to risk it."

Let's think for a minute here.....

When is the last time you heard of a black person or family in a white area driving through or stopping at a service station be attacked by a white person?

On the other hand, when is the last time you heard of a white person anywhere near a black area get attacked? (I think a 70 year old mid city NO woman, who is now dead and armless wishes she could chime in on this one)

Welcome to the club, sista. let me know when they start writing articles about Angry Black Women when a marxist democrat wins an election, some legislation that isn't full on socialism gets passed.

2."My mother taught me to ALWAYS ask for a bag and receipt, no matter how small the purchase, or you can be accused of stealing."

I'll be damned. Mine did too. it's almost as if anyone can be accused of stealing, regardless of their skin color, isn't it?

quote:

3."As a Black woman in a predominantly white area, I make a point of approaching staff first in stores when I walk in. I ask an innocuous question in a friendly, high-pitched voice, even if I don't need anything. They seem to feel safer around me and do not follow me around when I do that first."

Yeah, something tells me you create a lot of your own problems. Couldn't possibly be because you immediately have the store employees saying "WTF was that?" to themselves and others, could it?

4."As a Black woman, I usually keep my college jacket in the car. If I have to go to the emergency room, I'll receive better treatment if doctors see that I have a higher education."

Hope you don't ever get in an accident to where you can't slip on your jacket before going in. No way you get proper treatment from all those woke doctors then, is there? That's not racist at all. Not one smidgen.

Is this where we pretend that everyone, black and white, doesn't avoid the hood at the wrong times?

Wait a minute…black people walk in the middle of the street?

What a newsflash.

Do they also talk loudly in a movie theater?

This is most definitely written by black liberals who have never been in a predominantly black area and have been fed these narratives by the media.

Look, Mrs. Cotten and I live in Memphis Mane. We are white and by far a minority; the city is only like 25% white per the last census breakdown. We live in an extremely nice area, but it's still about 50/50. The blacks living near us avoid the exact same gas stations and parts of town us honkies do. It would also absolutely shock you how many hard working blacks are more MAGA than we are. I'll walk through the midtown Home Depot and see brothers wearing red MAGA hats pretty frequently.

If Memphis has taught us anything, it's that thugs are thugs; black or white. They are the most racist group out there, and it's not even close. The issue is, the media is constantly funneling them the narrative that they are victims because of "the white man" bringing them down. Fortunately, I find that upstanding black citizens hate thugs more than whites do; the same way legal Latinos hate illegals more than anyone else. They also hate the narrative being consumed by the thug group because, since they have actual intellect, they feel the media constantly portrays them to be too fricking stupid to simply live their lives.

When teaching, I here bs from administrators about how young black kids raising their voices, being disrespectful to teachers, and being willfully defiant is a part of black culture and that I’m racist to punish students for telling me to “f$&k off you punk white b$&@h” when I ask them if they’re working on their math assignment.

I get told it’s racist to expect them to be able to learn to do math. Never mind that this school is 85% black, and 14% hispanic. They don’t have any interest in addressing that the kids who are disruptive and defiant can’t f$&king READ! (I would argue that a big part of their defiant attitude comes from being embarrassed at the fact that they can’t read and thus cannot do the assignments asked of them.) Or that they don’t GAF and think nothing matters because they’re not allowed to be failed or disciplined for anything. There’s no reward for trying, and no penalty for not trying. No one is even trying to identify what their tripping points are and correct them. You’re just supposed to let them be terrorizing shits to the kids in the class that actually want to learn.

It’s insane.

I have. Back in the old days especially before the 60's and maybe the 70's it was a thing. Not only in Louisiana but in all states. I know Hornbeck was one of those towns. The kicker is who would want to be in Hornbeck during the day or night?

I would love to hear what towns are considered sundown towns today.

Stop using the ER as your primary care. I can't even remember the last time when I went to the ER.

Those kids basically have no one raising them.
