Exactly why I called them retarded robots. Once they got the full story, why still proceed with the arrest? Just to be spiteful. Maybe they should've used a little common sense
Which is part golf why these situations are frustrating and exactly why body camera are necessary
People say the pastor was an a-hole and should’ve completely complied.. ok but who’s the bigger a-hole.. the man who’s not breaking the law being questioned fir watering grass and is obviously annoyed.. or the people who arrested an innocent man..

OK - when did this conversation take place.
I did not see it in my original viewing.
IF the cops were informed of this prior to them making any contact with the pastor, then I am totally apologetic for my stance on this topic.
BUT if this came up afterwards, then in my opinion the man still 'deserved' to be given a little grief for all his bullshite attitude.
Whether he should be actually arrested or not, I dunno - and don't care.

OK - this attitude is what pisses me off on this topic - more so than anything on the video.
The deliberate exclusion of ANY context of the 'questioned fir watering grass' event is what is wrong with this country.
The good pastor was NOT BEING QUESTIONED FOR WATERING GRASS!!! - for GAWD's sake, once and for all - he was being questioned because of a 911 SUSPICIOUS PERSON call. - how simple can this be???
THIS is the same kind of shite we give the CNN/MSNBC/etal grief over - taking one aspect totally out of context and making the entire argument about THAT.
What is wrong with you people???
Stick to facts and try to be honest.
damn, this arrogant duplicity pisses me off - more so than when some LIBTARD does it.
are you a libtard??

He had an attitude as soon as they walked up, otherwise you might have a point.
Having an attitude is not illegal.

@4:30 of the DM video link, the 911 caller identifies him and brings his family along. His wife even shows his ID.
So once their investigation is complete and there is no crime being committed why continue with the arrest?

No it isn't
but if I see you getting your arse whipped for 'having an attitude' I will only sit back and enjoy the sight - and not even report it.
That is my right - it is not illegal to watch someone get their arse whipped.
NOW = if you were being assaulted by some other a-hole, I would help you out.
BUT - if you were just "showing your attitude" - I'd buy the guy a beer when it was over.
That's legal too.

Assuming he somehow knew the family was gone, he could have easily found the weakest entry into the house. Does showing your ID outweigh some guy getting into your house, taking guns, jewelry, maybe stored cash. I didn't watch all the way through but from the get go, he could have made this way easier on everyone.
So you just want people to give up their rights because cops say so?!?! Just give up your rights because it will make things easier?!?!
Do you get incensed when a bank teller asks to see and ID when cash a check?

Cops are charged with enforcing the fricking law!!!! frick their feelings! If emotions get in the way of the law they should resign immediately!!!

Still have seen no answer to what is a cop supposed to do in response to a 911 call reporting a suspicious person on premises. any idea???

Because they’re stupid.

As I recall, that was very late in the video. I am only interested in the dialog/interpersonal reactions in the immediate timeframe of the cops showing up in response to the 911 call.
Now, whether or not an arrest was made after that, I withhold judgement as to its legality - in my opinion, the good pastor "needed to be put in his place" for his attitude. He wasted a lot of time being a shitass - when just one moment of good will would have done everyone a favor.
If the cops got out of line a little, I will not go to bat for them. I would also not pile onto them.
In my opinion there are a lot of people responsible for the bad events shown in that video, and I do not ascribe one bit of it to the cops.
The legality of the 'arrest' is just another thing that doesn't matter to me - if the cops get in trouble over it. - good. If they don't, that's OK with me too. too many other important things to think about.
And that is because ALL of it could have - and SHOULD have - been prevented by just 5 seconds of good behavior by the "good pastor" whether he was legally bound to do so or not.
I do a lot of good deeds every day that I am not legally required to do. I wouldn't live my life any other way.
I'd hate to live in a society were "niceness" was only practiced under requirement by law.
Thank you for your input -

this is what I was referring to in my earlier description of how badly he was "watering the flowers" - didn't look to me like he even knew what he was doing.
And I still don't understand his piss poor 'attitude' he showed when the cops showed up.
From that point on, he gets no sympathy from me.

Leave the guy alone and go do his job. Being rude is not a crime.

He probably didn't appreciate having the cops called on him for doing nothing wrong.
Look, I wouldn't have reacted like he did, but I can understand not being in a cheery mood over this.
