SIAP

From DM Article

quote:

Pastor Michael Jennings was arrested in May outside his neighbor's yard in Childersburg, Alabama, after police received a complaint about a strange man and vehicle on the property.

Jennings, who was seen in the clip watering the flowers with a hose, had just returned from Sunday service. He told police his long-term neighbor asked him to look after his shrubbery while he was out of town.

I am very Pro-Cop and believe they should be given the benefit of the down in most cases. In this case I see a lot of stupidity on these good old boys. Not every 911 called is legit. He told the cops who he was, where he lived, had neighbors verify that he was a neighbor and friend. Hell he had a water hose in his hand watering plants.

He gave the cops a little lip but I don't blame him. He did nothing wrong.

This police department will writing a check to this fellow.

All because of some nosy arse Karen or Chad.

And the cops actions are exactly why I don't blindly support LE.

100% this. Unless something crazy is going on, people need to mind their own damn business. The man had a hose in hands watering plants. Not going around peeking in windows.

With cases like these becoming commonplace, I find myself moving further and further away from being a cop apologist as a whole

This kind of stuff happens specifically because people find every excuse to justify bad behavior from cops. When you think you're untouchable, you do stuff like these cops did.

Many conservatives and America firsters will have this same experience before long. Hell, just look at the 1/6 political prisoners still in the American Gulag.

I knew 15 seconds into the video what the problem was, and the idiot confirmed it at the 4:07 mark. He had a terrible attitude/disposition from the very start, even though the cops couldn't have been any nicer to him. Then the light went off in his head..."I can make me some money off this", that's why he kept telling them to take him to jail, "lock me up".
Pretty sorry attitude for someone calling himself a "Pastor".

They should have beat that old arse for him, gave him an attitude adjustment.....right, This GUN for HIRE

PS: J/K about the arse whooping, before a few of y'all blow a gasket !

That’s the same approach I would take.

Probable cause: he ain’t listening to us.

Neighbor: He maybe should be watering the flowers. He lives here. They are friends.

Police: I wish he would’ve told us.

WHAT ? The cops actions couldn't have been any better upon their arrival. They explained the entire situation, very nicely, and politely, from the very start ! What did they receive from the very start, attitude, belligerence, and threats.

PLEASE explain to me what was so wrong with their actions.

I don't really understand what he was supposed to have done either.

The probable cause here was established by the idiot busybody neighbor who called 911 for a "suspicious individual."

THIS COP obviously got the call to go check it out. What specifically is HE supposed to do differently here?

When it’s obvious the guy is a neighbor watering the bushes, go back to fighting crime.

Yeah I always wait to see what the full story is. There are bad cops who should be punished, but in many cases it is the perp who escalates it into a physical confrontation. If it is a neighbor then he should be happy with the quick response from the police in his neighborhood.

Why? The police are on time for a guy watering the bushes? Hot damn.

This used to be me. No longer, though. Law enforcement in this country is a big problem for conservatives.

If watching cops happily violate everyone's rights during covid in the name of "just doing my job" didn't wake them up then there's no hope at all.

Please explain how they were stupid ? Stop talking in generalities, provide specifics.

Do you think the "Pastor" conducted himself in a polite, professional manner ?

Handcuffed and arrested the guy for what exactly? Because he was watering flowers? How about not being a retarded robot and figuring out there is nothing here. The other neighbor comes along and vouches him and they still arrest him. What is that?

They didn't arrest him because he is black. They arrested him because they are too stupid to understand anything beyond basic interactions.

I wouldn't worry about a wee bit of over-zealous "corrections" by The Almighty State's dark-helmets.

HELPING thy Neighbor is too Bible-ly anyway.

The Dark Helmets are only following 1984 orders. It's not their fault the brand new UP-is-Down, Evil-is-Good society must be enforced. "Adjustments" must simply be made for Wrong-Think.

And remember:

THE BALLOT BOX WORKS!! (kinda sorta....locally??)
