As long as it's done with state and local tax money... they can double it for all I care.

There's the problem. You and I will end up paying for it one way or another.

You can buy a lot of malt liquor with that kind of money.

How did California deal with the demands for reparations from black residents back in 2020? I recall they created a task force to study the reparation proposals for blacks, but it's been 6 yrs. Did the state legislation ever start doling out the $$?

It was some asinine number too. Like $4M or something.

Check cashing places too because many of these people don’t use banks.

Keep the right people in Washington and we won't. First you warn them they go at this alone with no support federally.. then you follow through when the inevitable happens. Force them to dramatically raise taxes to stay afloat.

It’s always been a foolish idea…
Cash will never “undo” the past…

They spent millions assembling a committee and studied it. Said it was a great idea. And then just kinda disbanded when the money allocated to form the committee was spent. And shocker.... nothing was done.

And there is zero backlash because the people were not told to be mad.

“To Africa “

They can leave regardless but I agree that the slaves of all those that engage in slavery be paid now. I’m just not sure a 170 year old would have money to pay the 170 year old slave

Makes sense. Especially in a state that never had slavery

That's hilarious!! You really think it would end if reparations were paid out?

That would be the tip of the iceberg of the ensuing avalanche of insane past "racial injustice" made "right"

Give it to them, they will burn through it in a few months, and will still be where they are today, probably deeper in debt, but can no longer cry for reparations for something they never suffered through...

Why are black people from NEW YORK screaming for reparations?

Spike Lee must've done a reboot of "Cotton Comes to Harlem" and completely changed the story.

I wish someone would do a thorough study on the amount of money given through government benefits and affirmative action over the past 40 or 50 years, divide that number up against who actually has lineage. I bet that number is well past 800k. We will never get a study like this because the people who would fund such a study don’t waste money on shite like this. Every study the left does goes away after the NGO that supposedly does the study disappears like a fart in the wind.

If anything was ever done like this it would just be a mass transfer of wealth to the top 5% just like Covid.

They should give Manhattan back to the Lenape tribe if they really want to make a statement.
