I think when blacks gather especially black men at the barbershop and golf course, there will be some that express respect for what Trump did. It just takes one or two that grudgingly admit Trump is working for all American voters.

If you take time to listen during his tiff with the ABC lady, there were some cheers and applause in the crowd. A lot more than I would have expected.

I saw a group of black guys talking about trump yesterday on youtube. These black guys did not have a father figure while growing up. They grew up in the hard ghetto when they were kids.
They are treating trump kind of like a father figure that they have never had before because Trump is actually showing them that he is also fighting for them as well. Trump is showing that he actually cares about black people. They have never had this with politics before and its making black voters passionately becoming Trump supporters

There is a cultural subcurrent happening beneath the surface of the election this year. A number of younger black men are pushing back against the historically matriarchal structure in black culture. Related to the overall pushback we are seeing from young men against the toxic masculinity nonsense, there is a push to eliminate the single mother staying single mindset that is ingrained in some parts of their culture.
