Growing your wealth is the way to "..actively use their resources to help those in need". It feeds the engine the gives people jobs and opportunities to grow wealth themselves, so they can spread opportunity to others as well. More people benefit from this investment cycle than could ever benefit from a handout.

This of course doesn't make sense in many scenarios where people are in need. You'll help a kid with cancer more by donating to St. Jude than you will growing your net worth. They're not exactly in the job market.

She didn't say that they should give ALL of their money away.

She shouldn’t be telling anyone what to do with their money.

And again she didn’t give 50 or 75%. She doesn’t need all those luxuries.

She should just give concerts for free. Why does she need to make insane money by just singing?

I think she should come give me a bj.

People are always quick to tell others what to do with their money.

I’m sure it’s been covered.

But here’s a bitch worth $50M telling billionaires their level of wealth is immoral.

Sounds like she has a very smart tax attorney.

To be fair, so does Jesus.

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God".

lolol... This society. I think when people talk about American Excess, this is what they mean.

And then she has the hubris to lecture the rest of the world.

At least Larry Flint knew he produced trash.

I don't see why we need to act like what she did was evil. That's just pure nonsense.

33 million is WAY MORE than "anyone needs".

She is orders of magnitude richer than I am.

Why is it ok for her to tell "billionaires' to give away their money - but it's different if I expect the same from her?

Where is the line for "it's ok to keep" and "you're being greedy"?

Another way of saying that is that she donated $0 of her $50M net worth. It all came from the tour.

It's just words man. No one is putting a gun to anyone's head to fork over money.

Warren Buffet and Bill Gates have also urged the wealthy to donate much of their net worth and they didn't get near the vitriol that Eilish is getting for her statement which was pretty tame.

They’re billionaires telling other billionaires to donate. Maybe even you could figure it out.

I'd say yes

To what? Was it real charities that actually help people such as

KalebHouse.org
St Jude
Direct Relief
International Justice Mission
Operation Underground Railroad
DeliverFund
Free Burma Rangers
A21 Campaign

Or to they Lefty political groups masquerading as charities?

It's about bullshite hypocrisy. Fake philanthropy. She wants to influence people and make herself to appear morally superior but she isn't interested in real personal sacrifice at all. It's like Al Gore globe trotting in his private plane while chastising others for their carbon footprint.

These people are garbage.

She realizes she is rich.

Remember Bernie Sanders would scream about taxing millionaires and millionaires. He is a millionaire now and he only screams about taxing billionaires.

Its a cat fight made for comics and humorists to blast her.
