Yeah, this is a recipe for Democrat pushback.

If you dont want trannyism taught in school, dont push religion.

Louisiana’s laws are based far more on Rome than they are on ancient Judea/Israel. Heck, much of the Louisiana Civil Code is word for word the Code of Justinian from the 6th Century AD (which was heavily based on Institutes of Gaius from the 2nd Century AD). Some of it is word for word from the 12 Tables of Rome from the 5th Century BC. Should the 12 Tables be placed on display in every classroom and court house? They are the earliest foundation of Louisiana’s legal system.

this is what happens when one side shoves a different agenda down our throats. the other side does the same for better or worse.

How House Members Voted on "Ten Commandments"

Do you see a "cultural" influence? Why is that? It deserves debate, IMHO.

The republican party is so fricked, I don't even know what to say. THIS is what they do? THIS is what they think we need them to do?

It's absolutely exhausting that they think this is a good use of their time, their resources, their pay. How about cutting taxes? How about finding ways to reduce the state budget... Democrats are thinking of new ways to tax us, grow government, increase entitlements, give money to foreign entities, increase welfare.

Then the republicans show up with Ten Commandment statues and abortion talk.

I can't wait to get the frick out of this state. We're absolutely hopeless.

They are the very basis and reason for these laws.

So murder and stealing were all good before that?

You must not have very good comprehension skills, I never said that.

You literally said the Ten Commandments were the basis for the prohibition on those acts. And yet, those acts were prohibited in societies before the Ten Commandments, including in societies that didn't know about the Ten Commandments until several thousand years later.
