Considering he did nothing for the USS Cole or multiple opportunities to eliminate Bin Laden, he should know the consequences of inaction better than anyone. He also conveniently leaves out the Balkans which looking back was paltry compared to other events in his tenure like Rwanda. He is the last person to be getting advice from on foreign policy

He's right, obviously. Now, maybe people portray Bibi as SOLELY interested in these conflicts to retain power, and that is probably false.
But I don't think there is any realistic question that Bibi sees portraying Israel as under existential threat needing a bold, aggressive leader as his key to power.
