Whole lot of “feelings” and “Orange Man Bad” in all of those reasons.

Is this a computer generated NPC post?

I labored through that whole thing . Parts of it I was sympathetic to, particularly the spirit in which it was written. So I’ll leave it at that instead of pointing out the obvious vacuousness, hilarity and naivety of many of the statements herein.

You thought you were going to be mocked for writing the TD equivalent of “War and Peace” and saying absolutely nothing?

Unfortunately there are plenty that can be considered an infestation that are coming in and that’s not even debatable. So why not do everything in our power to protect our citizens? The financial burden of illegals is enough reason by itself to have a wall.

7) Trump wants it really bad (emotional).

8) Millions of potential future Dem votes(logical)
These are the reasons the left opposes it. The only reasons. The others are lies.

We just whipped your arse in 2018 without those voters. Why do we need those votes again?

It’s expensive (logical reason). Similar to point #2, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze. No one seriously believes $5 billion will get a Wall of any significance across the entire border.

You haven’t thought this through.

A wall is a one time capital expense with some recurring maintenance.

All other forms of border security permit illegals to enter US territory where once captured, require detention, food, healthcare, legal represention, and deportation. And - we have zero control over it.

Open borders are far more expensive than a wall.

they spend way over 150 billion every year studying the sex lives of gerbals when high on cocaine and how long can shrimp run on tread mills

its all utter BS you spouted but lets say its all true what you said, you still cannot defend shutting the government down over $6 billion dollars to put up a border wall that if nothing else, will 100% reduce the flow of drugs into this country even if it cant stop one illegal from climbing over the fence like spider man.

c'mon, lets here your explanation why a waste of only $6 billion is unthinkable with such a huge possible reward that comes from it if its only 1/3 as effective as though to be?

I'm for a unified north American union. This wall is an anachronism. It's a show tune. I'm against illegal immigration and you can cut into it for me by supporting a law making it a felony to hire one.

You’re absolutely right: if you want to virtually eliminate illegal immigration then institute national, mandatory E-Verify. Problem is Republican Establishment would never go for it due to effect on business community. But if you really want to stop illegal immigration then Mitt Romney has the right idea (self-deporting).

It’s amazing how the simplest, cheapest, most elegant solution somehow eludes everyone

I disagree , everyone knows Liberals are into globalization. Liberals want to take care of the world, so it's not about money.

IMO

1. It's about Trump

or

2. It's about votes

or
3. Liberals will worry what other countries will think

You took back the House. You actually lost ground in the Senate.

That’s not an “arse-whipping”. And the way the optics on this are looking so far, you’d better enjoy the two years you’ll have the House, because you WILL need those votes in 2020 and beyond.
